Im going to take your word on it being very good : )

MashAllah ukthi.

so i have this tiny little problem.. I'm not very good when it comes to coming up with usernames/nicknames.

I see a lot of the members here have very interesting usernames and i was wondering if you don't mind maybe you can share how you came up with it, perhaps there could be a meaning behind it?

My username is hulk because i can't think of any other username for myself and i just thought it would be funny to imagine hulk using a computer to go on forums and all.
Hulk smash puny Google!

MashAllah ukthi.

Its on page 3 :statisfie And ys,it'll take time to read the whole but if you just read these opening lines from the first book, you'll get what im talking about.

A thing of beauty is a joy for ever:
Its loveliness increases; it will never
Pass into nothingness; but still will keep
A bower quiet for us, and a sleep
Full of sweet dreams, and health, and quiet breathing.
Therefore, on every morrow, are we wreathing
A flowery band to bind us to the earth,
Spite of despondence, of the inhuman dearth
Of noble natures, of the gloomy days,
Of all the unhealthy and o'er-darkened ways 10
Made for our searching: yes, in spite of all,
Some shape of beauty moves away the pall
From our dark spirits. Such the sun, the moon,
Trees old and young, sprouting a shady boon
For simple sheep; and such are daffodils
With the green world they live in; and clear rills
That for themselves a cooling covert make
'Gainst the hot season; the mid forest brake,
Rich with a sprinkling of fair musk-rose blooms:
And such too is the grandeur of the dooms 20
We have imagined for the mighty dead;
All lovely tales that we have heard or read:
An endless fountain of immortal drink,
Pouring unto us from the heaven's brink.

my name 'haya emaan', both arabic names.. 'haya' meaning modest and 'emaan' meaning faith
i love both the names and so chose it as my cyber identity..
MashaAllah Haya Emaan, beautiful :statisfie

Tango is the NATO phonetic designation for the letter "T" and the title of my job includes "T", pronounced phonetically as "tango".

Couldn't really think of anything else.

I haven't been here in a while, so I am multi-quoting in one huge post. Enjoy... (or don't. I don't care. :p)

Your username says Hulk, rather funny.
My username Shadows and dust its a quote from the Greek poet Quintus Horatius Flaccus .
He coined the term "We are all but shadows and dust" referring to the short time of humanity and our accomplishments. Its a very negative and cynical name which fits my personality :p. But it has a deep meaning and i thought of it without even remembering his name, i am very in tune with ancient Greek culture and philosophy that it pours out of me.
We come we work and we leave, its the life of humans pure and simple. Our lives leave as quick as they come and we are but "shadow and dust".
:statisfie

So what you're saying is... that all we are is Dust in the Wind... :shade:

No... you just don't wanna change it coz your avatar absolutely rocks (can I blame ya? naaah) :)

Oh yeah... a little birdie gifted me the avatar... :p

Asalamu Alaikum
dqsunday, there are Dairy Queens here, but I have to tell you, that they have commercials that advertise D Q Sundaes.

The first job I ever had when I was 16 was at a Dairy Queen. Let's just say that I have only eaten there a handful of times since I quit in 1992... :hmm:

:sl:

The name of Flame seemed appropriate for the kind of person I am. I am rather fiery with a fierce temper. Hehehehe. But that was my initial name when I first joined IB. Later on, I chose the name of Riham, which means light rain in Arabic. That was because I wanted to disappear and not seem too fiery. :p

But I changed my name again. Because the fire wouldn't go out. ;D

I chose Flame of Hope because hope in the mercy of Allah is what keeps me going.

Yes! They're all very interesting but there's too many to comment on!

Because I'm a big fan of Fatima (radiAllahu anha) and one of her nicknames is Al-Zaara (Az-Zaara) "The Illuminated/Radiant One", plus it goes well with my real name which bears the meaning "halo, circle of light". :)
