Recently a brother told me while he was sleeping he felt someone pushing him down. He told me that it felt like very strong wind or force pushing him down agains't his bed. He did not see anyone he woke up and after telling himself it was nothing just a bad dream agian something started to force him to the bed. Is it jinn thats doing this or not? What should he do to avoid this kind of attack? Does this attack mean anything?

Jazak'Allah!

If it happened while awake as well, yes it could be jinn. It usually happens to most new muslims but even to those who have been in islam for a long time. It does not mean anything. To avoid such, he/she should become more concentrated in islam and perform a lot of duas reported authentically in the sunnah, give up lies and sins. Start learning more about the religion and about the Names and Attributes of Allah in particular. Start understanding tawheed properly and by doing this all that will vanish inshallah. I recomend him/her to read the works of Sheikh ul-Islam Muhammed ibn Abdul-Wahab and their explanations and in particular "kitab et-tawheed" and "three fundamentals" and their explanations and al-hamdulilah they are available in english.

there is no such thing as a jinn. If you wake up and havent slept enough your muscles might still be inactive, you wil feel pushed down and unable to move. It will pass, it helps by trying to move.

Do you have any evidence to back yourself?

And can you explain to us how you have arrived at such knowledge? I mean that there is no such thing as jinn?

of course there are jinns, in the qur'an it is mentioned that Allah made Jinns, some humans actually got contact with Jinns such as the prophets.
Also every human on earth has a companion besides them but you cannot see him/her thats because its a Jinn, well thats what i read on a website.
And by the way I'm not really sure about the movement on the persons bed, well it could be true that the muscles were still inactive, well I'm not much of a scientist,
so im not really sure can be a jinn?

Salamualikum.
Maybe it is JINN. Jinn are everywhere thesedays.
Maybe maybe it's his body like that.

ALLAH HU ALIM

MAKE DUA'AH PLEASE!!!

This sounds like a standard case of sleep paralysis
It is pretty much a safety mechanism in humans that prevents us from acting out our dreams. The apperition varies from culture to culture. Here in Japan they call it "bound in bed" or rather "bound in metal" and typically the ghost is that of a female with a lantern looking at them.
In the usa its often aliens. New agers often see it as a out of body experience. In the past it was demons etc....

Sleep paralysis. That's the one. I always get that and night terrors confused.

I myself had a weird experience once. Actually for several weeks in arow.
I would wakeup and sense a presence in the room. And I would see this pink or purpleish cloud come from above and hover over me. I however wasnt paralyzed and most likely still in a somewhat dream state. What was raly interesting is i felt no fear from this entitiy but almost a curioustiy from it. I also remember reching out and putting my hand through it and feeling my hand go through something. This entitity visited me a couple more times and I remember wakeing up and saying "oh you again, ah i want to sleep leave me alone" It was a very weird experience and most likely explained as a trick of the mind.

i was thinking the same thing.i dont think it's a jinn. sometime when i wake i can't move or anything but then it passes in about 1 or 2 minutes.it started since i was a little girl.it's perfectly normal so i wouldn't worry about it

He said he was able to move but felt like a strong force almost as strong wind pushing him down...

Im sure if you provide evidence that there is no pink invisible unicorn behind you he will provide evidence there is no Jinn. But i think normally evidence needs to be provided for a positive claim.

I was asking for evidence on your claim that it could be the muscles. I was not asking you to prove if jinns exist i know they do. Because Quran is the truth and Allah S.W.T. said there is jinns

It is either a JINN or SLEEPING PARALYSIS..
I have this same problem.. thank god.. its not only me..
I just posted a topic called ...Jinn or Sleeping Paralysis.. 10 minutes ago..
