Also, are you sure that sheikh Shuraim did the Khatam dua in 2001? I mean there's nothing at all available from that year's Taraweeh, and its been spread so much that Sheikh Muhaisny did it that year, I've become doubtful that anyone besides Sheikh Sudais did it that year. And I also coulda sworn that a brother who lives in Jeddah and was in Makkah told us Sheikh Sudais did it...unless he got the names mixed up.

shaykh Muhaisny never made a dua in the haram. He never even led there. The dua that he became famour for and was arrested for was in a masjid in Makkah but not in the haram. And I am pretty sure it was shaykh Shuraim with the khatam dua in 2001. That was my 2nd year at Madinah university and I remember being in Makkah for Ramadan.

Sorry for not being clear, but yeah I know that Sheikh Muhaisny never made the dua in the Masjid al Haram.

Anyways, given the fact that you were there in Makkah, I believe it more easily now. I'm sorry for expressing doubt...inshaAllah you understand why though...

Bro MST had that year recording on video, but unfortunately is only left with 1 night, I think. I'll see if I can get that insha'ALLAH.

Sheikh Shuraim led fajr in Makkah and Sheikh Huthayfi in Madinah. Im verry surprised they both made duas in fajr salats. there is a Tufan(Storm) near Saudi Arabia. The storm hit the coast of Oman now its moving near Iran. OH ALLAH PREVENT THE STORM,OHH ALLAH PREVENT THE STORM,OH ALLAH FORGIVE US FOR OUR SINS,AMEEN THUMMA AMEEN. :cry: :cry:

Both Imams read Sura Haqqah,that sura contains some ayats of Tufan and etc.

It doesn't say who did the dua...but the last surah recited by Sheikh Shuraim in 1422 was Surah Tariq, meaning that Sheikh Sudais would have taken the second half that night and also taken the Khatam al Quran dua. Wallahu a'lam.

Anyways, it doesn't really matter in the end who did the dua. Whoever did it was worthy of the honor. Please don't think I'm trying to argue or anything.

^^ dont worry i thought it was sheikh sudais too. one thing i know for sure, he mentioned afghanistan in his duas once and then never again :( (in public that is)

Sheikh Salih Al Talib and Sheikh Hussain Al Sheikh also made dua in Maghrib
Ameen to their duas

I think this is the first time i've heard Sheikh Salih Al Talibs Dua during Salah :)

Sheikh Al Sheikh mentioned countries by name in his dua such as Afhganistan and Lebanon

I dont think the storm is going to hit makkah or madinah,Insha'Allah. Allahu Alim. The cyclone killed 20 people already. Ohh Allah prevent more deaths from the storm,Ohh Allah punish us here in this duniya,but Make our questioning easy after the death. ameen.

This is the first time i heard a dua by Sh.Talib,it was good dua. also Sh.Ale Shaykh did a excellent dua,masha'Allah.:)
