Woodrow bro, I've disabled the startup menu, restarted my pc and am still facing the same problems. Was this the last option? I feel so down imsad

The free space in C drive is 60.2GB. I just scanned my pc with McAfee and found no problems. I don't have an anti virus only McAfee site advisor. Aamir bro mentioned that MCShield might be an antivirus? If it is I have no idea how it got there lol. Do you know what it is?

Also in the link you gave me, in Terms of Use #10 it says I have to back-up my comp systems. Is this necessary?

Sis no need to worry, i recently got my comp get checked and it sweeped up the virus. Still for safe side u can simply back up the important docs. And moreover it simply scans , and will not delete it. until unless we select it and delete.

I advise u go for it first. then we can be sure, that theres nothing wrong with the health of the comp , and something needs to be added on.

I'm a miser Ali bro. No seriously, I'm very sensible in such matters and would only part with my money as a last resort.

Asma sis, sorry for the trouble, but how do I backup stuff on my pc? :-[

There is no need to get embarassed, infact it feels good that we are able to help you. backup is very simple - create 1 folder in another hardrive (say E drive) and copy all the docs that you feel are important and paste it in this folder. And simply run the antivirus. better dont work at that time. as the comp will be very slow. and depending on the space - it will require 2- 2.5 hours . then it will show u all the list of the threats, virus, vulnerability, it would be better that u send a snapshot of that , so that i can confirm which ones to delete. I would be online for next 2 hours. it would be better if u do this tomorrow morning inshallah. i would be online the whole day. like UAE (10 .am. to 6: p.m.) Uk is 3 hrs behind UAE.

The Free Anti-Virus, does not wipe out the virus.
You have to register with the company and buy a key.

Well I have links to download software.
I have uploaded them.
With the link I will give you it will have a KeyGen
Instead of buying a Key from the Software
It will Generate one for you.
All you do is install the program
Open up the KeyGen
Copy & Paste the Serials
 
Bro King, It does infact this is the latest antivirus software. As i did it may be 1 week before on my comp. which was affected by a msn virus, and made my comp as slow as a tortoise. it allows you to clean and delete , The thing is u dont need to go for the trial version. It scans online. This is the site that I am referring to

A much wiser choice. Legal and moraly ethical too.

While there are key generators that will unlock nearly every software, they are illegal to use if you have not bought the program.

A short word to the wise, if you can read this post those who monitor the internet for copyright violations also can. And if us admins can see your ISP address

so can they.

2) Double Click on Sounds and Audio Device

No, my problem is still the same and now I have some additional ones too. How lucky I am! lol

It's just that now I don't get all the messages saying I'm now connected to broadband and that my signal strength is excellent etc. Before these msgz were popping up like 3 tims each grrr.

I forgot to scan last night.. was so tired. So will do it today inshaAllah. Good luck with your problem Muslim sis. I feel I'm doing a degree in pc repair here. :D

For a screenshot, get the screen you want to take a picture of and press the button on your keyboard:

It might be different if you have big keys on your keyboard etc. It's in the middle of insert and number lock. You just press it and you think nothing will've happened, infact it has. Go to any program you would like the screenshot to be in, paint for example and paste it (you can use Ctrl+v). Then just save the image, go to an image hosting site, I use http://www.imageshack.us, browse for the picture, resize the picture to 640x480 (message boards, as we are on one), then copy the link by Hotlink for forums (1) and paste it here.

Do you know how to do a system restore? If not post what operating system you use.

If you use Windows XP or older, go to start, click run and type in msconfig when the prompt comes up select system restore. Pick a date that is before your problem started. Follow the prompts.
