Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah
15th Ramadan 1436 (2nd July 2015)
Narrated Abu Huraira (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):
While we were sitting with the Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) a man
came and said, "O Allah's Apostle! I have been ruined." Allah's Apostle
(Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) asked what was the matter with him. He
replied "I had sexual intercourse with my wife while I was fasting."
Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) asked him, "Can you afford
to manumit a slave?"
He replied in the negative. Allah's Apostle
(Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) asked him, "Can you fast for two successive
months?" He replied in the negative. The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa
Sallam) asked him, "Can you afford to feed sixty poor persons?" He replied
in the negative.
The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) kept silent and
while we were in that state, a big basket full of dates was brought to the
Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam).
He asked, "Where is the
questioner?" He replied, "I (am here)." The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa
Sallam) said (to him), "Take this (basket of dates) and give it in
charity." The man said, "Should I give it to a person poorer than I? By
Allah; there is no family between its (i.e. Medina's) two mountains who are
poorer than I."
The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) smiled till his
pre-molar teeth became visible and then said, 'Feed your family with it."

Sa’eed ibn Jubair reported: We were met by Abdullah ibn Umar and we hoped that he would narrate to us a good saying. A man approached him and he said, “O Abu Abdur Rahman, tell us about fighting during times of persecution as Allah said: And fight until there is no more persecution.” (2:193) Ibn Umar said, “Do you know what persecution is? May your mother be bereaved of you! Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, only fought the idolaters as there was persecution for practicing their religion. It was not like your fighting for the sake of ruling.”

Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) used to practice Itikaf (in the mosque) in the middle third of Ramadan and after passing the twenty nights he used to go back to his house on the 21st, and the people who were in Itikaf with him also used to go back to their houses.
Once in Ramadan, in which he practiced Itikaf, he established the night prayers at the night in which he used to return home, and then he addressed the people and ordered them whatever Allah wished him to order and said, "I used to practice Itikaf for these ten days (i.e. the middle 3rd but now I intend to stay in Itikaf for the last ten days (of the month); so whoever was in Itikaf with me should stay at his place of seclusion.
I have verily been shown (the date of) this Night (of Qadr) but I have forgotten it. So search for it in the odd nights of the last ten days (of this month). I also saw myself (in the dream) prostrating in mud and water."
On the night of the 21st, the sky was covered with clouds and it rained, and the rain-water started leaking through the roof of the mosque at the praying place of the Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam).
I saw with my own eyes the Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) at the completion of the morning prayer leaving with his face covered with mud and water.
