Hadeeth means the words, actions, approval or attributes that have been narrated from the Messenger (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him).
Narrated Muawiya bin Suwald:
I heard Al-Bara' bin 'Azib saying, "The Prophet (S.A.W) orders us to do seven things and prohibited us from doing seven other things." Then Al-Bara' mentioned the following:--
(1) To pay a visit to the sick (inquiring about his health),
(2) to follow funeral processions,
(3) to say to a sneezer, "May Allah be merciful to you" (if he says, "Praise be to Allah!"),
(4) to return greetings,
(5) to help the oppressed,
(6) to accept invitations,
(7) to help others to fulfill their oaths.

Sayyiduna Abu Sa’id Al Khudri (radiyallahu ‘anhu) says, “Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) passed by a funeral procession near a grave and asked: ‘Whose grave is this?’ They replied: ‘It is the grave of so and so from Abyssinia. Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) then said: ‘La ilaha illallah [There is no Deity except Allah], he was driven away from his land and sky [i.e. from his hometown] to the soil from which he was created”(Mustadrak Hakim, vol. 1 pg. 367 and Shu’abul Iman, Hadith: 9425

Narrated Anas ibn Malik: The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: A believer who recites the Qur'an is like a citron whose fragrance is sweet and whose taste is sweet, a believer who does not recite the Qur'an is like a date which has no fragrance but has sweet taste, a profligate who recites the Qur'an is like basil whose fragrance is sweet but whose taste is bitter, and the profligate who does not recite the Qur'an is like the colocynth which has a bitter taste and has not fragrance. A good companion is like a man who has musk; if nothing of it goes to you, its fragrance will (certainly) go to you; and a bad companion is like a man who has bellows; if its (black) root does not go to you, its smoke will (certainly) go to you.
