One day a companion of the Most Beloved Prophet (Peace and blessings of Allah Almighty be upon him) came to the Beloved Prophet (Peace and blessings of Allah Almighty be upon him) and complained that his wife had tried to cook a fish for three days but was not unable to cook it.[7] The Beloved Prophet (Peace and blessings of Allah Almighty be upon him) asked the fish why it was not possible to cook it. The fish replied that one day it was swimming alongside a ship when it heard a traveller on board reciting Durood Mahee and it then proceeded to recite Durood Mahee. The Beloved Prophet (Peace and blessings of Allah Almighty be upon him) then informed the companion to convey this good news to his Ummah : that if anyone reads Durood Mahee once then the fires of hell are haram for that person.
