PART FOUR[B][I]
Nazia , Hidaayah, Umm_ Hamza and Ladee Maryam walk in talking amongst themselves
Ladee Maryam: Honestly, I hate this country. I just want to made Hijrah asap
Nazia: Where to?
Ladee Maryam: Egypt – I really like that place
Ladee Maryam:
Hidaayah: What is it?
Hidaayah: Glo? Searchingsoul
Nazia: Ice-creams? Where’s my ice-creams…I need something to calm me down…
ffended:
Umm_Hamza:
Labibah: Assalaamu Alaikum Sisters…not to worry insha Allah its fine…there was a little misunderstanding..
Sisters: Wa Alaikumussalaam
Nazia: Ice cream anyone?
Ladee Maryam:
Nazia: What?
Glo and Searchingsoul: Hi girls
Sisters: Hi
Searchingsoul: We’re having a wonderful discussion on the Hijab
Glo: Yes indeed .
Can I ask you girls something?
madeenahsh: Yeah sure
Arwa: Of course…
-------
Glo: Don’t you feel strange and pressured to be like the rest of society…I mean you live in a society where everyone wears what he or she desires…and is free to do, as he or she is pleases… how do you manage to reject all this?
Ladee Maryam: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him): "
Islam began as something strange, and it shall return to being something strange, so give glad tidings to the strangers."
Take me and Umm_ Hamza as an examples. Allah has guided us from this type of society. We once used to walk the streets dressed like you….and do things people perceive to be norm. But when you look at this society you look at how corrupt it is. How people are not happy. What is happiness? Been materialistic? Drinking and clubbing every Friday and Saturday? Going out with friends? Dressing to kill? Truly, for me this is not happiness… happiness is way beyond this. Happiness lays in worshipping your Creator. Everything Allah commands us is for our benefit. Little do people know though…
Umm_ Hamza: Everything Allah has commands us is for our benefit. Sometimes we may not comprehend why Allah forbids or commands a thing but we as believes
hear and obey. Example, Allah forbids us from drinking.
Shaitân (Satan) wants only to excite enmity and hatred between you with intoxicants (alcoholic drinks) and gambling, and hinder you from the remembrance of Allâh and from As-Salât (the prayer). So, will you not then abstain? ( Qur'an - Al-Ma'idah 5:
Allah in His wisdom, he has forbidden us to drink alcohol. Look at the latest reports regarding alcohol today
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/health/me...a-b/872428.stm with all the problems and disasters it causes. Allah has forbidden it for our benefit. How grateful are we…?
Searchingsoul: Hmmm…
Umm_Hamza: I
started wearing the hijab 1½ month after I reverted, and I did it because I knew it was an obligation on me, and as soon as I did, I felt relieved and happy and great… lived in a really small town, I felt like I didn't belong there anymore.
No one has ever pressured me to wear hijab. My parents begged me to take it off and because it looked weird.
Umm_Shaheed: Oh Masha Allah
Same here even though my father is Muslim he doesn’t want me to wear the Niqab.
Glo: That’s sad
Arwa: Its not just our families look at the government in some countries. They allow women to dress in a seductive manner- wearing mini skirts and forbid the Muslim women from dressing modestly!
Umm_Shaheed: Who is oppressing women? The government is forcing women to dress how they want them to look. These poor women have to dress in a way to tempt men. Why?
Glo: I disagree….These women are dressing how they want.
Nazia: I disagree They refuse women to cover from head to toe in the manner that a Muslim women does. Why do that? Surely the West preaches democracy. So where is my freedom to obey my Lord? Why force me to wear what I do not want?
They want women to dress in way to tempt men but if they do the opposite (i.e. cover themselves - wear a scarf and jilbab etc.) then they get banned from doing that, or get abused.
Glo: You make a valid point….
Ladee Maryam: The very essence of my reversion to Islam was because of the Hijab
Sisters astonished
Labibah: Really?
Amani: Subhan Allah…
Hidayaah: I never knew….Allah guides people in sooo many ways
Ladee Maryam: Yeah Alhamdulilaah I am grateful.
searchingsoul: Tell us about your reversion…
Ladee Maryam: Well I use to see Muslim women in Hijab and I use to just stare at them for ages…Their beauty astonished me….they had something which I didn’t have- peace, tranquility and inner beauty… There I was displaying myself – wearing the tightest jeans and skimpiest tops, slapped on with tans of make-up walking the streets like I owed it…and there was a Muslim women all covered up- with self respect, dignity and inner beauty. I just couldn’t help my amazement and interest in their dress…
Nazia: Awww Masha Allah
Ladee Maryam: Yeah…so one day I went home and researched on Islam…and Alhamdulilaah by the mercy of Allah…He guided me from darkness into light.
Hidaaya: Takbir!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sisters: Allahu Akbar!!!
Hidaaya: Takbir!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sisters: Allahu Akbar!!!
Hidaaya: Takbir!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sisters: Allahu Akbar!!!
searchingsoul and Glo pull aside…..
Glo:
Searchingsoul:
oh:
Hidaayah: *Giggling* Sorry about that I was really excited I just had to do that
madeenahsh: crying….Isn’t it beautiful how Allah guides people.
Umm_Hamza: Yeah Subhan Allah. We are very grateful to Allah…
Ladee Maryam: It bugs me when people say we are oppressed and need to be liberated. People need to remove the veil from their minds and do their research!
Labibah: Unfortunately, some women are oppressed but it has nothing to do with Islam..
Arwa: It is cultural abased…
Umm_Shaheed: Wearing Hijab has nothing to do with men forcing it upon us! Be it our husbands, brothers or fathers!
Amani: Allah has commandment it for us and we HEAR AND OBEY!
