Today there were heavy winds with rain in Makkah after Asr. We were sweating at Jumua. The climate suddenly changed at Asr time. Hope it's calm now, inshaAllah.
Btw, Ramadhan Mubarak to All! *I'm off for Isha & Taraweh*
AlhumdolILLAH , awsome recitations today , " SubhanALLAH " is all i can say about Sheikh shuraim's recitation today , couldnt hear sheikh muaqily's coz i was listeining to shuraim while driving after taraweeh n got to my destination before his turn, QadR Allah , will download it from haramainrecordings InshahAllah.
How perfect You are O Allaah, and I praise You. I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped except You. I seek Your forgiveness and turn to You in repentance
They sometimes don't do a Duaa on one night, I still don't know why. I'm not sure if it's on the same night though?
I think last year they did Duaa every night.
It was proved from the Sahaba that they left out the duaa at times, not any particular nights though , randomly.
Qunoot is Sunnah. Based on this, if a worshipper omits Qunoot, his prayer is still valid.
Shaykh Ibn Baaz (may Allaah have mercy on him) was asked about the ruling on reciting the du’aa’ of Qunoot in Witr during the nights of Ramadaan, and whether it is permissible to omit it.
He replied:
Qunoot is Sunnah in Witr and if a person omits it sometimes, there is nothing wrong with that.
And he was asked about a person who always recites Qunoot in Witr every night – was that narrated from our forebears (the salaf)?
He replied:
There is nothing wrong with that, rather it is Sunnah, because when the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) taught al-Husayn ibn ‘Ali (may Allaah be pleased with him) to say Qunoot in Witr, he did not tell him to omit it sometimes or to do it all the time. This indicates that either is permissible. Hence it was narrated that when Ubayy ibn Ka’b (may Allaah be pleased with him) led the Sahaabah in prayer in the Mosque of the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), he used to omit Qunoot some nights; perhaps that was in order to teach the people that it is not obligatory. And Allaah is the Source of strength.

^yes Masha Allah, that salaah was beautiful and so was today's Makkah Isha and so is Sheikh Juhany's recitation, Subhanallah! I'm enjoying every bit of it
Sheikh Sudais led 3 rakaats for witr without a break after 2 rakaats and his dua was awesome!
You mean with one last tashahud? its from the sunnah , it has been proved that the prophet sala lahu alihi wa sallam prayed that way, i-e prayed three rakats n only sat in the last one. so its good to revive all the sunnah's.
May Allah reward them all , i missed sheikh juhany's recitation that u guys r talking about? which rakat is it n which surah?
jazakum Allah khair

Shaykh Saalih ibn Humayd leading Salaatul Fajr in Makkah (From Surah al-Maa'eedah), Shaykh Ali al-Huthaify in Madeenah (End of Surah Zumar).
I thought Shaykh al-Budayr would get the first part of Surah Yusoof, but it seems that Shaykh Sa'ad al-Ghamdi will most likely get the full Surah tomorrow inshaa'Allah.
Shaykh Sa'ad al-Ghamdi's son? He'd be waay to young no? I think you might be confused with the Imaam of Masjid al-Haram, Shaykh Khaalid al-Ghamdi, there is no apparent relation between Shaykh Sa'ad & Shaykh Khaalid, but they could be from the same tribe, hence the al-Ghamdi.

Allah a3lam, but I have heard from folks far wiser than me that when something isn't a fard that some days are skipped so people would differentiate fard from sunnah.. I believe the same applies for salawat at'tarweeh?
anyone is free to correct me on that if they have different more accurate information..
Jazakoum Allah

The entire 10 rakaats were awesome, but Sheikh Juhany and Sheikh Hadhrawiyy were emotional in the last rakaat i.e. 10th rakaat
jazakum Allah khair

Oh ok, that would still be awesome anyway. Btw, when did Madeenah start reading more than 1 juz in taraweeh?

Btw, Sheikh Khaalid Ghamidi is younger than Sheikh Sa'd Ghamidi. Sheikh Sa'd Ghamidi is 52 and Sheikh Khaalid Ghamidi is about 43. :X

Masha Allah! awesome dua, especially when he says: wa muraafaqata nabiyyina Muhammadin sallalaahu alayhi wa sallam..." while the Nabi of Allah (s.a.w) is right there. May Allah's peace and blessings be upon him.
