Lightbulb Imaams of the Haramain - Part IX (OP)

Today there were heavy winds with rain in Makkah after Asr. We were sweating at Jumua. The climate suddenly changed at Asr time. Hope it's calm now, inshaAllah.

Btw, Ramadhan Mubarak to All! *I'm off for Isha & Taraweh*

^The entire dua as really awesome Masha Allah! Really heart-touching. I love Sheikh Budayr's duas... and the durood at the end is always top-class, he always says it in the sweetest of voices. Subhanallah.

Re: Imaams of the Haramain - Part IX

AlhumdoLILLAH , Sheikh Shuraim did a really important khutbah , there is no issue more important that this for the Ummah of Islam when some of its membes have been caught in the fitnah of killing themselfes n other muslims , may Allah save us all from such horrible acts n such horrible ideology.

N about the taraweeh today , sheikh juhany recited very beautifully , THAT! is the juhany i know n love , so energetic n so much passion n he took his time with the verses , i was slightly disappointed with the sheikh's pace at the beginning of ramadan , he was kinda too fast with fatiha n the recitation in general ,but today he did what he does best , i heared his whole taraweeh while driving back home as i was stuck in the crazy traffic of sharjah. May Allah reward him n all the other imams n scholars n students of knowledge n protect them n the whole ummah from the evil of those who kill themselfes n others in the name of jihad n for the sake of Allah , not knowing that their act will end them up in fire forever.. Allah ul Musta'an.

Cant wait for sheikh shuraim n Mahir surah Al maryam n taha, InshahAllah its gonna be awsome shurim n mahir nights have been ectraordinary , may Allah protect them.

Anyone noticed Shaikh Sudais missed an Ayah today? Qaala in-sa-altuka 'an Shai-in ba'daha fala tuSaHibni...

I could have corrected him, but I was way back in some 25th or 30th row, but right behind him.

I think Shaikh Shuraim will start from the beginning of the juz, Qaala alam aqullaka... to make up for the missed ayah, inshaAllah (if he actually listened last night's Taraweeh, or if someone informed him).

^ Too early for you sis? He read from Surah Nisaa I guess... I didn't listen to him though, only heard Sheikh Budayr, which was aweesome.

I miss Sheikh Thubayty's Fajr salaah tho.

^No, lol , I know what the problem was: Channel Islam plays the Makkah Fajr a whole hour later, just when we finish suhoor and they seemed to have played an old Fajr <_< So, yes it was Sura Nisaa and I knew it was too good to be true: The mukabbir was not Sheikh Tawfeeq Khouj , but one of the new muathins.

    Haram imam condemns assassination bid
    Arab News
    *
MAKKAH: Sheikh Saud Al-Shuraim, imam of the Grand Mosque in Makkah on Friday denounced the attempt to assassinate Prince Muhammad bin Naif, assistant minister of interior for security affairs, describing it as a heinous crime.
The sheikh made the comments while delivering a Friday sermon to thousands of people who thronged the large prayer complex. The imam also lambasted the Al-Qaeda terror networks deviant ideology that promotes killings and assassinations.
This confusing ideology first targeted non-Muslims including contracted workers. Now they are targeting the people of Islam ... including top officials appointed by the ruler for the countrys security, Al-Shuraim said in an apparent reference to the assassination attempt on Prince Muhammad.
The imam urged wanted militants to surrender and correct their way of living during the holy month of Ramadan by making use of the concessions offered by the countrys leadership. A suicide bomber, posing as a well wisher, blew himself up at Prince Muhammads residence on Aug. 27 while he was receiving people who came to greet him on the occasion of Ramadan.
Press reports said the bomber, identified as Abdullah Hassan Tali Asiri, carried no less than half a kilogram of explosives inside his body. Security officers have not yet determined the type of explosive used for the operation. The explosives were detonated by a mobile phone carried by the bomber while inside the princes home. The bomber was in touch on mobile phone with other militants in Yemen while at the princes home.
Security sources said Asiri called his friends in Yemen asking them to talk to the prince, which was in fact a signal to them to detonate the bomb as he was in close proximity to the prince. The sources added that Asiri was rigged with the explosives prior to leaving Yemen for the Kingdom. Asiri arrived in Jeddah on Thursday morning accompanied by a policeman and a National Guard officer from the southern province. Sources said he abstained from eating and drinking for 40 hours. They also pointed out that there was only a single sofa between the prince and the bomber.
Prince Muhammad, meanwhile, surprised the bombers father, Hassan Tali Asiri, by calling him on the phone to convey his condolences on the death of his son. He told the father that the state would not take any action against the family for his sons wrongdoing. The Kingdoms anti-terror chief also told militants that the door is still open for them to return to the straight path. Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah has instructed us to deal nicely with all those who want to return to righteousness, he added.
Asiris father thanked Prince Muhammad for his kind gesture and said it reflected the princes nobility. He blamed Al-Qaeda for misleading his son and injecting destructive thoughts in his mind.

25-min ban on entrance after Taraweeh at Grand Mosque
    By Hatim Al-Masoudi
MAKKAH – As part of efforts to reduce overcrowding, nobody has been allowed to enter the Grand Mosque for 25 minutes after the end of Taraweeh prayers since the first day of Ramadan.
The Public Security Assistant Director for Training Affairs Sa’ad Al-Khulaiwi has said that to prevent persons entering after the prayers, which are conducted for approximately an hour after Isha prayer, a “human barrier” is formed by members of the Infantry Organization Administration.
The infantry forces have also received instruction in how to identify the symptoms of swine flu and isolation points have been designated for persons suspected of carrying the virus.
Al-Khulaiwi said that this year’s Ramadan security plan for the Grand Mosque involved staff numbering 6,500 personnel. – Okaz/SG
