Ive had a fall and landed (hard) directly on the elbow. i cant really straighten/move the arm and the pain (though not as bad) extends to the wrist. the sling i have it in isn't really doing much either. i don't think i've fractured/dislocated/broken it as there doesn't seem to be any signs? what could be the problem and what is the temporary solution (i dont want to see the dr just yet).

If the pain radiates to your wrist, it sounds like you might have injured your nerve.
Do you have problems with the sensation in your fingers? Any tingling or numbness?
How long ago since you had the fall?
