jazakAllah!!! Yeah you've seen me on that social-networking website!!
when I took a break from this forum, I was so into Malaysia Forum on topix.com trying to make both Malaysians and Indonesians stop attacking each others... and after months of doing that... it's still a failure... ..
in my country, people can talk about food for hours... instead of asking "How are you?" we usually ask "Have you eaten?"...
that what happened when your nation is surrounded by great food nations like China, India, Thailand and Indonesia... and colonised by the Europeans and Japanese.
" HAve you eaten" .......you sure your not Italian?
Thats what every Italian asks another....all day!
Indians are like that to, My mother in law or Umma, makes me eat every single time i see her......I'm the one the family points at when they don't want to eat........like i can turn it down..ever seen a mad Indian mother in law?....just refuse her food....

Well... I detected something in that forum... there are few people who are the "batu api" (firestarters) from both side and they used loads of usernames as if people from both nations are really hating each others... these people want both countries to become losers... you cant heal satans...

Lol even his welcome-back thread turned into a food thread
Marhba North-Malaysian nice to see you back.
Since This thread is turning into a food thread I've got to say that I like malaysian sweets/cakes.... My Malaysian friend always talks about malaysian sweets. Is it common that malaysian ever talk about is food? :X
Three simple rules in life:
1) If you do not go after what you want, you will never have it
2) If you don't ask, the answer will always be no.
3) If you do not step forward, you'll always be in the same place
^^^ yes... Malaysian and food can never be seperated lol...
nm : no...i'm not the hosts...i'm the neighbour with house joining to their house

Since this became a welcome back and food thread....I should ask....do ya'll have Lucky Charms cerial in Malaysia? I am having a bowl right now....ummmm, ummmm...good
Not sure if anyone else has ever heard of this. My Nonna(grandmother) brought a recipe for rice back with her from Italy (Rice is HUGE in Italy, didn't know that did you?) she would boil or steam rice then seperate it and bake it, after drying it would be like a cerial, we would add sugar or other ingrediants, poor milk or a Gee like substance on it and enjoy
We also put strawberry jam on rice and sometimes sugar. We also have a version of sticky rice(desert rice) we eat with slices of mango.....ummmm mango
Also "Riso super caldo" or super hot rice, made with habenaro or cayenne peppers ground into powder....and a little honey...i know it sounds weird, but it's really good!....you better have a strong gut though
