Hello my dear friends,
I am a Christian and my girlfriend is Muslim. ( we fell in love before discussing our faith, not that it would’ve made a difference ) all I want to do is understand her better and to help her be the best version of her that she can be. I severed in the army in Afghanistan which was the catalyst for my Islamic study’s but being with her made it all the more important to me. I read both the Quran and Hadith. And I came across somethings I need help with. And I believe to learn Spanish you go to a Spanish speaker so if you want I learn about Islam go to Muslims. I read that Allahs word is eternal and His spirit is eternal as well as Allah himself. I also read that in the end His word and his spirit will appear as pale men alongside Himself. That sounds to close to the trinity to not address. Can someone explain this to me? (Not assuming anything about the people here but I’ve experienced negative Actions from people while being Christian and questioning Muslims so if you are just going to talk to me like I’m an idiot or bash on me for not being in line with Islam please just pass this post) thanks and may the creator of all things bless you
ok here’s one. I understand that the Quran says Issa didn’t die on the cross but it was made to look like he did. What evidence is there that, that actually took place
If you are looking for hard evidence then there isn't one. In fact, there's hardly any historical evidence of of Issa even existing. As for religious evidence, it's right there in the quran and religious as you know is based on faith.
Was Jesus cr
ucified?
When they saw that the weak and poor believed in him, and were gathering around him, they formed a plot to kill him. So they provoked the Romans against him, and they made the Roman governor think that the call of ‘Isa contained a threat against (Roman) power. So he (the Roman governor) issued orders that ‘Isa should be arrested and crucified. But Allah caused a hypocrite who had betrayed him to the Romans to look like ‘Isa. The soldiers arrested him, thinking that he was ‘Isa, and crucified him. But Allah saved ‘Isa from the cross and from death, and Allah tells us about the Jews (interpretation of the meaning):
“And because of their saying (in boast), ‘We killed the Messiah ‘Isa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary), the messenger of Allah,’ — but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but it appeared so to them the resemblance of ‘Isa (Jesus) was put over another man (and they killed that man)], and those who differ therein are full of doubts. They have no (certain) knowledge, they follow nothing but conjecture. For surely; they killed him not [i.e. ‘Isa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary)]:
But Allah raised him [‘Isa (Jesus)] up (with his body and soul) unto Himself (and he is in the heavens). And Allah is Ever All Powerful, All Wise.” [al-Nisa 4:157-158]
