Last Rites – Ghusal for Deceased Demonstrations

Shaykh Abdur Rahman Ibn Yusf

Death is an inevitable stage in life which strikes at any time during a person’s journey through the various stages of life. After death one of the most important rituals that is performed on the deceased is the ritual of bathing (ghusal). Unfortunately many Muslims, despite on occasions having witnessed ghusal being given, are not confident enough to do it themselves due lack of knowledge and experience. Many a time due to there not being a brother or sister with ghusal performing experience in the family, the burial of the deceased is delayed whilst someone is found with the required knowledge and experience – this causes unnecessary hardship to the grieving family and also to the deceased .

Following on from last years well attended ‘The Last Breath – Fiqh of Funerals/Janaza’ (Nov 2010) Masjid e Quba has arranged a short 2 hour practical hands on demonstration for brothers and sisters. The class will focus solely on how to perform the ghusal.
No registration is required.
