“When your Lord took from the children of Adam – from their loins – their descendants and made them testify of themselves, [saying to them], “Am I not your Lord?” They said, “Yes, we have testified.” [This] – lest you should say on the day of Resurrection, “Indeed, we were of this unaware.” (7:172)
Before life as we know it even began, Allah (swt) had every single soul before him on a vast plain. That’s every soul that would ever exist from the beginning to the end of time. That is you and I.
We were asked to testify that Allah (swt) is our Lord. This is the Covenant.
But what does this testimony entail? Do we actually know about grandeur, the majesty, the mercy, the justice of our Lord? How near, or far are we in fulfilling this Covenant?
Join us at the Steps to Allah Conference in Manchester and London to be informed and inspired as we explore these great questions.
