I iused to go Speakers Corner a lot, but stopped about three years ago because, well - i got tired of it to be honest. Tired of all the debates and arguments, and didn't see much value in the so-called Dawah that was supposedly happening there. However, I did go there recently and filmed a decent discussion.
In this video, Adnan Rashid and Charlie, a young agnostic from the USA discuss Creation in Speakers Corner, Hyde Park on a very sunny Sunday. This video has undergone an intensive post production process which involves a secondary filming location @Sapience Institute to question @Adnan Rashid about the discussion. The post commentary which was filmed separately is included in this video - we are hoping this video will give the viewer a valuable and in-depth insight into the "mind of a daiee".Topics covered include: Athiesm, Agnosticism, Creation, The Universe, The Solar System, Fine Tuning, Created by Chance or by a Divine Entity?, Science and its limitations, Alternative ways of finding Truth, Our Existential Reality, Purpose within Creation - are we humans exempt from Purpose?
I did go a little overboard with the editing, it was my first time back and I got excited lol.
I'd like to read your thoughts in shaa Allah. SHoudl I do more of these? what would you have me change? was the editing over the top? or did you like it? etc
For the first few minutes I was completely lost from the topic itself.Maybe I was concentrating more on editing part.It was bit overwhelming otherwise great editing skills.
8:34 moving frame from that person to the speaker was bit scary.
I liked the addition of ayah for references during conversation.
Yeah I agree with the first few minutes (i did that because I wanted to hook the viewer) in retrospect, I realise I went too far with that and in future, I'll tone it down, in shaa Allah
That I can't say much. I never ponder over universe and all that I have no interest in astrophysics.
I liked the way he engage him in the conversation. Some people are more intrigued by scientific evidence some people are philosophical. So speaker asked him about his interest and he tried to convinced him accordingly.
Was it planned event or speaker asked him randomly ?
I felt like guy wanted to ask a lot of questions but he was taken aback or he was not getting enough time or he was not prepared what kind of questions he has.
What I think you shouldn't wait for approval or appreciation of people if you are doing good. Even if one person search this on you tube and benefit from it you will be rewarded.
