InshaAllah check out Br Hassen Rasool's new album Spiritual High - he has a unique and uplifting way of reciting qur'an mashaAllah www.hassenrasool.com
yes I have heard about this sheikh quite a few times....he recitees with a bit of a specielly meldoy kind of thing...but Alhamdulilah all the Qurras (reciters of the quran) are nothing but good ....personally shuraim and sudais are the fav....along with the imams of medina lol
SubhanAllah never heard of Sheikh Hassen before.. but i must say .. he has gt a CLASIC way of reciting.. just like others..
The Prophet said, "Nobody who enters Paradise likes to go back to the world even if he got everything on the earth, except a Mujahid who wishes to return to the world so that he may be martyred ten times because of the dignity he receives (from Allah)."
Subhanallah! Obviously, we all know this but we should not only think about the recitors but also the recitation. I don't know I just felt like saying something wise . . . . . like you do
"I spent thirty years learning manners, and I spent twenty years learning knowledge."
I think the videos were made to symbolise our connection with the Qur'an. The video entitled Elevation is set in an elevator, but it also seeks to remind the one whose watching that the Qur'an is something that uplifts the soul...
Would anyone with taqwa end up on the 'screen' or even be watching the 'screen' - I very much doubt so. Let us not forget those 3 people who will be doomed. One of those is the qari who recited so beautifuly but not for the pleasure of Allah, but for other reasons.
I'm not judging anyone here, just giving my view. Feel free to disagree.
No doubt judgement lies with Allah swt. To appear on the 'screen' as you call it does not mean someone does not have taqwa. Everything depends upon intention.
I think the need to understand the words of the prophet is very important too. We have many people saying this a lot: "everything is judged upon intention" - may Allah allow us to understand the words of the prophet correctly and act upon them.
Don't actions go hand in hand with intentions? Isn't making movies haraam? Here there is no force like education wise to make movies and capture people on flim, it's done by free will with the intention of dawah as you think it is. Can it be excused just to make movies for dawah?
