Often translated as "there is no power nor might except with /by Allah", but many other scholars explain this in detail. For example, Sheikh Ibn Uthaymeen defined this term of LAA HAWLA WALAA QUWWATA ILLA BILLAH as meaning "There is no change from one condition to another nor power to do so except by Allah 's helping you"... the same as you saying,' Oh Allah, help me! ' or as Sheikh Abdul Muhsin al-Abbad said :-
"It means that one has no power to leave sins nor to be upon obedience except by the help of Allah, because everything happens by the qadar of Allah, His creating and His giving success.."
