I'm very interested in the somali language, so can someone inshâ'Allâh translate these words for me, jazak Allâhu khayr..
Bax is like go away, f*** off or sumin' like that right?
How do you say 'Shut up'..
'How's it going?'
'My name is..'
'Call me'
'Dog'
'Boy'
'Girl'
'No'
'Son'
'Daughter'
'1'
'2'
'3'
'Are you hungry?'
'You're so sweet'
'Honey'
'I like you'
'Listen'
'Look'
Qurux has something to do with beautiful right?
What does 'gacaliso' mean?
'macaanto'
ohhhh i don't think that.. i've wanted to learn somali ever since 2nd grade when the first somali girl moved to our town, to MY class and became MY friend..
what is spoken most? the kind from somaliland or just somalia?? and urhh, why is it called somaliland?? couldn't they just stick to somalia?
Djiboutian version of somali is far better . Favourite word is cat! Yanyoor!!!! We say Biiset, which sounds better but yanyoor always puts a smile on my face
I do have to say, 'I love you' in somali sounds like a death threat. Wan Koo ( don't know how to spell the rest) One time, during ramadan I was at the masjid staying overnight. This little kid was bothering me the whole night for me to tell him a swear word in somali. So I told him, I love you in somali and he believed me. He was screaming I love you the whole night to everyone he saw. The next night, right as I stepped in, he said in a really mad face, I hate you in somali. I guess some kid told him he was saying I love you instead of a cuss word. really funny. Imagine little kid screaming Naya Wan Koo....
"Faisbir sabran jameelan".Therefore endure with a goodly patience (70:05)
walaalo sidaana loo qoraa "I love you" in Somali " waan Ku Jecelahay", waan ka Xumahay waxa Ku dhacay Wiilka yar, probably he kept saying....waan ku necebahay......which means I hate you! I want to try and right it!! I probably wont' spell it right since i don't know how to right in somali but i want ya'll to tell me what it means k?
