Hello. Sorry if this is in the wrong thread.. Please move it if it is.
Ok, so here we go...
I have heard from MANY islamic schoalrs (zakir naik, yusuf estes, haroun, ahmed deedat, among many othes) who says that the belief that humans evolved from other animals, according to the qu'ran, is a wrong belief. They say it is absolutely incompatible with islam (as yusuf estes said, evolution contradicts the qu'ran.)
And, I agree.. After all, the qu'ran clearly says that adam and eve were the first people, and that we are all descendents of them. it also says that they were formed from dust, clay, water(and a few other ingedients) mixed, and then the ruh(I think) was breathed into them, hence, starting the human race.
Then I see some thread here where muslims are AFFIRMING evolution.
Ok, so what is the islamic stance? Does evolution of humans (meaning humans evolved from another species) a kufr belief in islam, or no? Please explain, with proof(as in verses from qu'ran or sunnah.)
