On the RoadtoJannah message board I typically post a Hadith of the Day and the Ayat of the Day. I see that there is already a Hadith of the Day thread here so inshAllah I intend to contribute to that. However, when doing a few searches on this board I could not find an Ayat of the Day thread, so I decided to make one. If there is one already please merge this and point me in the right direction inshAllah. Also if everyone could contribute that would be wonderful. Discussion, Ayats, anything inshAllah.

8. Al-Anfal (Spoils Of War, Booty)
Surah: 8 Aya: 16
Transliteration
16. Waman yuwallihim yawma-ithin duburahu illa mutaharrifan liqitalin aw mutahayyizan ila fi-atin faqad baa bighadabin mina Allahi wama/wahu jahannamu wabi/sa almaseeru
Translation
16. And whoever turns his back to them on such a day - unless it be a stratagem of war, or to retreat to a troop (of his own), - he indeed has drawn upon himself wrath from Allâh. And his abode is Hell, and worst indeed is that destination!
وَ اِنَّ لَـكُمْ فِى الْاَ نْعَا مِ لَعِبْرَةً ۗ نُسْقِيْكُم ْ مِّمَّا فِيْ بُطُوْنِهَا وَلَـكُمْ فِيْهَا مَنَا فِعُ كَثِيْرَةٌ وَّمِنْهَا تَأْكُلُوْنَ ۙ
"And indeed, for you in livestock is a lesson. We give you drink from that which is in their bellies, and for you in them are numerous benefits, and from them you eat."
(QS. Al-Muminoon 23: Verse 21)
any one of you who turns back on his faith (should remember) that God could verily bring (in your place) another people whom He would love as they would love Him., gentle with believers, unbending with infidels, who would strive in the way of God, unafraid of blame by any slanderer. Such is the favour of God which He bestows on whomsoever He will. God is infinite and all-knowing.”
“To you has come an Apostle from among you. Any sorrow that befalls you weighs upon him; He is eager for your happiness, full of concern for the faithful, compassionate and kind.”
“That which Allah giveth as spoil unto His messenger from the people of the townships, it is for Allah and His messenger and for the near of kin and the orphans and the needy and the wayfarer, that it become not a commodity between the rich among you. And whatsoever the messenger giveth you, take it. And whatsoever he forbiddeth, abstain (from it). And keep your duty to Allah. Lo! Allah is stern in reprisal”.
كِتابٌ أَنزَلناهُ إِلَيكَ مُبارَكٌ لِيَدَّبَّروا آياتِهِ وَلِيَتَذَكَّرَ أُولُو الأَلبابِ
(This is) a blessed Book which We have revealed to you, (Oh Muhammad), so that they may contemplate its verses, and people of reason may be mindful.
There certainly has come to you a messenger from among yourselves. He is concerned by your suffering, anxious for your well-being, and gracious and merciful to the believers
وَلَا نُـكَلِّفُ نَفْسًا اِلَّا وُسْعَهَا وَلَدَيْنَا كِتٰبٌ يَّـنْطِقُ بِا لْحَـقِّ وَهُمْ لَا يُظْلَمُوْنَ
"And We charge no soul except [with that within] its capacity, and with Us is a record which speaks with truth; and they will not be wronged."
(QS. Al-Muminoon 23: Verse 62)

وَلَوِ اتَّبَعَ الْحَـقُّ اَهْوَآءَهُمْ لَفَسَدَتِ السَّمٰوٰتُ وَا لْاَ رْضُ وَمَنْ فِيْهِنَّ ۗ بَلْ اَتَيْنٰهُمْ بِذِكْرِهِمْ فَهُمْ عَنْ ذِكْرِهِمْ مُّعْرِضُوْنَ ۗ
"But if the Truth had followed their inclinations, the heavens and the earth and whoever is in them would have been ruined. Rather, We have brought them their message, but they, from their message, are turning away."

Allah says, "Say: 'If it be that your fathers, your sons, your brothers, your mates, or your kindred; the wealth that ye have gained; the commerce in which ye fear a decline: or the dwellings in which ye delight - are dearer to you than Allah, or His Messenger, or the striving in His cause;- then wait until Allah brings about His decision: and Allah guides not the rebellious." (9:24)
Allah says: "All who obey Allah and the apostle are in the company of those on whom is the Grace of Allah,- of the prophets (who teach), the sincere (lovers of Truth), the witnesses (who testify), and the Righteous (who do good): Ah! what a beautiful fellowship"(4:69)
اِنِّيْ جَزَيْتُهُمُ الْيَوْمَ بِمَا صَبَرُوْۤا ۙ اَنَّهُمْ هُمُ الْفَآئِزُوْنَ
"Indeed, I have rewarded them this Day for their patient endurance - that they are the attainers [of success]."
(QS. Al-Muminoon 23: Verse 111)

“To each of you We prescribed a law and a method. Had Allah willed, He would have made you one nation [united in religion], but [He intended] to test you in what He has given you; so race to [all that is] good. To Allah is your return all together, and He will [then] inform you concerning that over which you used to differ” [Quran 5:48].
