I see that there is already a Hadith of the Day thread here so inshAllah I intend to contribute to that. However, when doing a few searches on this board I could not find an Ayat of the Day thread, so I decided to make one. Surah: 8 Aya: 16
Transliteration
16. Waman yuwallihim yawma-ithin duburahu illa mutaharrifan liqitalin aw mutahayyizan ila fi-atin faqad baa bighadabin mina Allahi wama/wahu jahannamu wabi/sa almaseeru
Translation
16. And whoever turns his back to them on such a day - unless it be a stratagem of war, or to retreat to a troop (of his own), - he indeed has drawn upon himself wrath from Allâh. And his abode is Hell, and worst indeed is that destination!
“Never will you attain the good [reward] until you spend [in the way of Allah ] from that which you love. And whatever you spend – indeed, Allah is Knowing of it” [Quran 3:92].
اَفَحَسِبْتُمْ اَنَّمَا خَلَقْنٰكُمْ عَبَثًا وَّاَنَّكُمْ اِلَيْنَا لَا تُرْجَعُوْنَ
"Then did you think that We created you uselessly and that to Us you would not be returned?"

اِنَّ الَّذِيْنَ يُحِبُّوْنَ اَنْ تَشِيْعَ الْفَا حِشَةُ فِى الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا لَهُمْ عَذَا بٌ اَلِيْمٌ ۙ فِى الدُّنْيَا وَا لْاٰ خِرَةِ ۗ وَا للّٰهُ يَعْلَمُ وَاَ نْـتُمْ لَا تَعْلَمُوْنَ
"Indeed, those who like that immorality should be spread [or publicized] among those who have believed will have a painful punishment in this world and the Hereafter. And Allah knows and you do not know."

اَللّٰهُ نُوْرُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَا لْاَ رْضِ ۗ مَثَلُ نُوْرِهٖ كَمِشْكٰوةٍ فِيْهَا مِصْبَا حٌ ۗ الْمِصْبَا حُ فِيْ زُجَا جَةٍ ۗ اَلزُّجَا جَةُ كَاَ نَّهَا كَوْكَبٌ دُرِّيٌّ يُّوْقَدُ مِنْ شَجَرَةٍ مُّبٰـرَكَةٍ زَيْتُوْنَةٍ لَّا شَرْقِيَّةٍ وَّلَا غَرْبِيَّةٍ ۙ يَّـكَا دُ زَيْتُهَا يُضِيْٓءُ وَلَوْ لَمْ تَمْسَسْهُ نَا رٌ ۗ نُوْرٌ عَلٰى نُوْرٍ ۗ يَهْدِى اللّٰهُ لِنُوْرِهٖ مَنْ يَّشَآءُ ۗ وَ يَضْرِبُ اللّٰهُ الْاَ مْثَا لَ لِلنَّا سِ ۗ وَا للّٰهُ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيْمٌ ۙ
"Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth. The example of His light is like a niche within which is a lamp, the lamp is within glass, the glass as if it were a pearly [white] star lit from [the oil of] a blessed olive tree, neither of the east nor of the west, whose oil would almost glow even if untouched by fire. Light upon light. Allah guides to His light whom He wills. And Allah presents examples for the people, and Allah is Knowing of all things."
(QS. An-Noor 24: Verse 35)
Their cry was only that they said: Our Lord! forgive us for our sins and wasted efforts, make our foothold sure, and give us victory over the disbelieving folk.
Al-e-Imran - 3:147
وَيَقُوْلُوْنَ اٰمَنَّا بِا للّٰهِ وَبِا لرَّسُوْلِ وَاَ طَعْنَا ثُمَّ يَتَوَلّٰى فَرِيْقٌ مِّنْهُمْ مِّنْۢ بَعْدِ ذٰلِكَ ۗ وَمَاۤ اُولٰٓئِكَ بِا لْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ
"But the hypocrites say, We have believed in Allah and in the Messenger, and we obey; then a party of them turns away after that. And those are not believers."

لَا تَحْسَبَنَّ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا مُعْجِزِيْنَ فِى الْاَ رْضِ ۚ وَمَأْوٰٮهُمُ النَّا رُ ۗ وَلَبِئْسَ الْمَصِيْرُ
"Never think that the disbelievers are causing failure [to Allah] upon the earth. Their refuge will be the Fire - and how wretched the destination."

قَا لَ اٰمَنْتُمْ لَهٗ قَبْلَ اَنْ اٰذَنَ لَـكُمْ ۚ اِنَّهٗ لَـكَبِيْرُكُمُ الَّذِيْ عَلَّمَكُمُ السِّحْرَ ۚ فَلَسَوْفَ تَعْلَمُوْنَ ۙ لَاُ قَطِّعَنَّ اَيْدِيَكُمْ وَاَ رْجُلَـكُمْ مِّنْ خِلَا فٍ وَّلَاُ صَلِّبَنَّكُمْ اَجْمَعِيْنَ ۚ
"[Pharaoh] said, You believed Moses before I gave you permission. Indeed, he is your leader who has taught you magic, but you are going to know. I will surely cut off your hands and your feet on opposite sides, and I will surely crucify you all."
