On the RoadtoJannah message board I typically post a Hadith of the Day and the Ayat of the Day. I see that there is already a Hadith of the Day thread here so inshAllah I intend to contribute to that. However, when doing a few searches on this board I could not find an Ayat of the Day thread, so I decided to make one. If there is one already please merge this and point me in the right direction inshAllah. Also if everyone could contribute that would be wonderful. Discussion, Ayats, anything inshAllah.
JazakhAllah Khair.
8. Al-Anfal (Spoils Of War, Booty)
Surah: 8 Aya: 16
Transliteration
16. Waman yuwallihim yawma-ithin duburahu illa mutaharrifan liqitalin aw mutahayyizan ila fi-atin faqad baa bighadabin mina Allahi wama/wahu jahannamu wabi/sa almaseeru
Translation
16. And whoever turns his back to them on such a day - unless it be a stratagem of war, or to retreat to a troop (of his own), - he indeed has drawn upon himself wrath from Allâh. And his abode is Hell, and worst indeed is that destination!
"O you who have believed, be supporters of Allah , as when Jesus, the son of Mary, said to the disciples, "Who are my supporters for Allah ?" The disciples said, "We are supporters of Allah ." And a faction of the Children of Israel believed and a faction disbelieved. So We supported those who believed against their enemy, and they became dominant."
Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "There are two expressions which are very easy for the tongue to say, but they are very heavy in the balance and are very dear to The Beneficent (Allah), and they are, 'Subhan Allah Al- `Azim and 'Subhan Allah wa bihamdihi.'"
[Sahih al-Bukhari 6406]
"Prohibited to you are dead animals, blood, the flesh of swine, and that which has been dedicated to other than Allah , and [those animals] killed by strangling or by a violent blow or by a head-long fall or by the goring of horns, and those from which a wild animal has eaten, except what you [are able to] slaughter [before its death], and those which are sacrificed on stone altars, and [prohibited is] that you seek decision through divining arrows. That is grave disobedience. This day those who disbelieve have despaired of [defeating] your religion; so fear them not, but fear Me. This day I have perfected for you your religion and completed My favor upon you and have approved for you Islam as religion. But whoever is forced by severe hunger with no inclination to sin - then indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful."
(22:78) Strive in the cause of Allah in a manner worthy of that striving.128 He has chosen you129 (for His task), and He has not laid upon you any hardship in religion.130 Keep to the faith of your father Abraham.131 Allah named you Muslims earlier and even in this132 (Book), that the Messenger may be a witness over you, and that you may be witnesses over all mankind.133 So establish Prayer, and pay Zakah, and hold fast to Allah.134 He is your Protector. What an excellent Protector; what an excellent Helper!
And [mention, O Muhammad], when We designated for Abraham the site of the House, [saying], "Do not associate anything with Me and purify My House for those who perform Tawaf and those who stand [in prayer] and those who bow and prostrate. (Surah Al-Haj, verse 26)
And most certainly they shall carry their own burdens, and other burdens with their own burdens, and most certainly they shall be questioned on the resurrection day as to what they forged.

And you see the mountains, thinking them rigid, while they will pass as the passing of clouds. [It is] the work of Allah, who perfected all things. Indeed, He is Acquainted with that which you do. 27:88
( 64 ) And this worldly life is not but diversion and amusement. And indeed, the home of the Hereafter - that is the [eternal] life, if only they knew.
( 65 ) And when they board a ship, they supplicate Allah, sincere to Him in religion. But when He delivers them to the land, at once they associate others with Him
( 66 ) So that they will deny what We have granted them, and they will enjoy themselves. But they are going to know. 29:64/66
( 48 ) It is Allah who sends the winds, and they stir the clouds and spread them in the sky however He wills, and He makes them fragments so you see the rain emerge from within them. And when He causes it to fall upon whom He wills of His servants, immediately they rejoice
( 49 ) Although they were, before it was sent down upon them - before that, in despair.
( 50 ) So observe the effects of the mercy of Allah - how He gives life to the earth after its lifelessness. Indeed, that [same one] will give life to the dead, and He is over all things competent. 30:48/50
And We did not send any apostle but with the language of his people, so that he might explain to them clearly; then Allah makes whom He pleases err and He guides whom He pleases and He is the Mighty, the Wise.

{إِنَّ اللَّهَ وَمَلَائِكَتَهُ يُصَلُّونَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ۚ يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا صَلُّوا عَلَيْهِ وَسَلِّمُوا تَسْلِيمًا** [الأحزاب : 56]( 56 ) Indeed, Allah confers blessing upon the Prophet, and His angels [ask Him to do so]. O you who have believed, ask [Allah to confer] blessing upon him and ask [Allah to grant him] peace. 33:56

( 78 ) And he presents for Us an example and forgets his [own] creation. He says, "Who will give life to bones while they are disintegrated?"
( 79 ) Say, "He will give them life who produced them the first time; and He is, of all creation, Knowing."
( 80 ) [It is] He who made for you from the green tree, fire, and then from it you ignite.
( 81 ) Is not He who created the heavens and the earth Able to create the likes of them? Yes, [it is so]; and He is the Knowing Creator.
( 82 ) His command is only when He intends a thing that He says to it, "Be," and it is. 36:78/83
Then do they not reflect upon the Qur'an? If it had been from [any] other than Allah, they would have found within it much contradiction. 4:82
But if you do it not(challenge to unbelievers to produce a surah similar to Quranic chapters), and you can never do it, then fear the Fire (Hell) whose fuel is men and stones, prepared for the disbelievers.(Surah Baqarah, verse 24)
