Asalaam alekom i watched a lecture by mufti Menk brother, about why ALLAH puts us in difficulties... it was too gool like we are put in unwanted situation so that we get close to Allah and we remember Him, seek forgiveness and make dua for help.
I have just one thing in mind. ( just wanted to know about the Hikmah, that i am not able to understand yet i Belive in it)
ALLAH can change Heart by just ordering it, without putting us in any difficulty, jobloss or sickness. He says: Be it and it is. Like without letting His bondmen going through difficultly HE can bring him Closer to Himself just by changing his heart. Just by ordering it to change and pure than before. Whats the Hikmah in putting for a time being in trouble.
Allah knows best.
Plz if anyone can help with clearing it up. Thank you

You see, Allaah could have done anything.
But He does what He Wills.
Those messengers - some of them We caused to exceed others. Among them were those to whom Allah spoke, and He raised some of them in degree. And We gave Jesus, the Son of Mary, clear proofs, and We supported him with the Pure Spirit. If Allah had willed, those [generations] succeeding them would not have fought each other after the clear proofs had come to them. But they differed, and some of them believed and some of them disbelieved. And if Allah had willed, they would not have fought each other, but Allah does what He intends.
[Qur'aan 2:253]
He will not be questioned as (to) what He does, and they will be questioned.
[Qur'aan 21:23]
And they ask you, [O Muhammad], about the soul. Say, "The soul is of the affair of my Lord. And mankind have not been given of knowledge except a little."

Everyone is tested whether they're living a luxurious life or a difficult one. Having all the wealth and comfort in this dunya does not mean you are closer to Allah. Likewise, being in a difficult position does not guarantee you will be closer to Allah either. We are put into certain situations and the end result of whether or not we get closer to Allah depends on what we do with out situation. Remember we make our own choices.
If someone is in a difficult position, will they be patient through it and seek Allahs guidance or will they curse Allah?
If someone is living the luxurious life with wealth and comfort, will they thank Allah for all that they have and spend it on halal or will they feel that they no longer need Allah?
The lives of the prophet and the sahabas were anything but easy and there are many examples of those sticking through the journey, and those turning away from it. We should continually look back and reflect on these stories to understand what it means to be tested as it has a meaningful purpose to it.
