shahadah11024ba9 - Lessons from Quraan and Hadeeth : Proclaim the Message

Allah (subhanahu wa tala) says in surah Maidah, verse 67: “O Messenger (Muhammad SAW)! Proclaim (the message) which has been sent down to you from your Lord. And if you do not, then you have not conveyed His message. Allah will protect you from mankind. Verily, Allah guides not the people who disbelieve”

    • How can we worship Allah without knowledge?
    • The Prophet (saw) was a prophet for 23 years, he had to convey everything over the 23 years in order for us to understand the religion
    • Allah made a promise that no one will be able to kill the Prophet (saw) before he finished conveying the message. Indeed, the promise of Allah is true.
    • When this ayah was revealed, the Prophet (saw) told his sahabah not to worry about him. He felt safe and confident after getting re assurance from his Lord.
    • The Prophet (saw) never revenged those that tried to kill him – he only performed jihad for the sake of Allah
    • The worst of people are those whom the Prophets (peace be upon them all) killed.

Narrated ‘Aisha: Whoever tells that Muhammad concealed part of what was revealed to him, is a liar, for Allah says:– “O Apostle (Muhammad)! Proclaim (the Message) which has been sent down to you from your Lord.” (5.67)

    • After the death of the Prophet (saw), the message should continue to be conveyed.
    • It is the responsibility of the scholars to convey the message on behalf of the Prophet (saw). The Prophet (saw) said: “The scholars are the inheritors of the prophets” [Tirmidhi]. Any aalim who conceals ilm is commiting a sin.
    • Conveying the message of Islaam is a amaanah – to convey it correctly and truthfully
    • We should always seek Allah’s help when conveying the message and giving dawah – we should ask Allah to protect us so we may attain success in this world and the hereafter.
    • We must always seek Allah’s protection from shaitan and his followers so that we get success in here and the hereafter.
    • The worst people are those killed by Prophets.
