Over the years and even in present day society, you see people who literally kill for the throne. They will do anything for power, even if it means getting rid of their own father or brother. Bribery and corruption are also quite common in many "democracies". I look at all this people and wonder what on earth they're thinking. Being in charge of a country is a HUGE responsibility, and yet you see people just chasing after it..
Personally, I would NEVER want to be in charge of a country, no matter what the circumstances were. Perhaps the ones that would could please help me understand what is so appealing about having all that power?
Re: If given the opportunity, would you rule a country?
nope i wouldnt. Too much responsibility. Yeh you get power, but whats the use of power if you dont use it correctly and then to be questioned about all of it? too much on your shoulders.
plus the fact im female
Our Lord! Verily, we have heard the call of one calling to Faith: 'Believe in your Lord,' and we have believed.
Our Lord! Forgive us our sins and expiate from us our evil deeds, and make us die (in the state of righteousness) along with Al-Abrar

Yes!
I would lead the masses to the Religion of Sikhism (peacefully of course) and implement the SIkh way of life and all it's glorious ways upon the people!
I would not become corrupt as my Religion would guide me, and so shall GOD! Muahahaha....

Interesting question! Personally, I would never want to rule a country. No matter how good your intentions are, it is impossible to please everybody. Also, I don't like people having a negative opinion of me and if I was in power, many people probably would (as difficult to imagine as that is )
Then again, as Muslims, we do have the perfect example in Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) as a leader. None of them 10p tax rows would happen then, ey?

That is indeed the question! I very much doubt that anybody ever could match up to him but at least he has set the ideals and we have something concrete to aspire to and to keep us on the right track. There is a reason that he was sent to us as an example, no?
