Detainees in Guantánamo Bay are held in prolonged indefinite detention, which violates a fundamental legal principle: that anyone detained has the right to be promptly brought before an independent judicial officer to challenge the lawfulness of their detention. The President of the United States Mr. George W. Bush has repeatedly asserted that the USA strives to “defend and extend a vision of human dignity” and “uphold the rule of law”. For the detainees at Guantánamo Bay these words ring hollow.
Allah bears witness that none has the right to be worshipped but He, and the angels, and those having knowledge (also bear witness to this); (He always) maintains His creation in justice. None has the right to be worshipped but He, the Almighty, the All-Wise.

Everyone on this forum should sign the petition insha'Allaah.. if we can't do anything - then we should make dua' (supplication) for our brothers and sisters, and do what we can to help them out.
Hadith - Sahih Bukhari, Volume 8, Book 73, Number 40, Narrated An-Nu'man bin Bashir May Allah be pleased with him
Allah's Apostle May Allah's peace and praise be on him said, "You see the believers as regards their being merciful among themselves and showing love among themselves and being kind, resembling one body, so that, if any part of the body is not well then the whole body shares the sleeplessness (insomnia) and fever with it."
"Help your brother, whether he is an oppressor or he is oppressed." People asked, "..It is right to help him if he is oppressed, but how should we help him if he is an oppressor?" The Prophet said, "By preventing him from oppressing others." Sahih Al-Bukhari, 3:624
Abu Umamah bin Harith reported:
The Prophet [Pbuh] said, "Allah decrees Hell for and forbids paradise to one who takes away the right of a Muslim through false oath," Then a man asked, "O Messenger of Allah, [is this true] even if it be an insignigicant thing?" At that, the Prophet [Pbuh] answered, "Even if it is a twig of a berry" [Related by Abu Dawud and at-Tirmidhi]...
The Prophet has said on many occasions urging the Muslim ummah to enjoin good and forbidding evil and to help the oppressed...
Abu Sa'eed al-Khudri related that the Prophet [Pbuh] said:
"Whoever observes something wrong should change it with his hands. If he is unable to do so, then speak against it with his tongue. If he is unable to do even that, then he should at least resent it in his heart-and this is the lowest level of faith" [Related by at-Tirmidhi]
