    SUPPORT FOR SOMALIA

Muhammad (saw) said The Muslim Ummah is one Ummah at the exclusion of all others, their land is one, their war is one, their peace is one and their trust is one. [Saheeh Muslim]

Somalia is a coastal nation in East Africa (Horn of Africa), it lies along the Gulf of Aden and the Indian Ocean. Islam entered these lands peacefully over a 1000 years ago via Muslim traders who interacted with the indigenous population who then voluntarily reverted to Islam. Some narrations also suggest that the first Muslims who migrated from Mecca to Abysinnia (Ethiopia), because of hardships they faced under the Quraishi regime, travelled via Somalia.

The beauty of the implementation of Islam in Africa is depicted by Umar ibn Abdul-Aziz (rh), the righteous Caliph (ruler) of the Islamic State (Khilafah), he once sent his envoys to collect the Zakat from the Muslims of Africa. When they collected it, they inquired if there were any poor on whom the money could be spent, but they could not find one poor person. During this golden era Sudan was nicknamed the fruit bowl of Africa because it exported food.

Unfortunately colonisation and man-made laws entered these lands whereby in 1992 at least 300 000 people died because of lack of food. Under the guise of providing humanitarian relief the UN and it allies (thousands of troops) occupied the Muslim land. This was totally rejected by the Islamists who small in number and poorly equipped killed many UN workers including 24 Pakistani apostates. At least 31 US soldiers were slain, whose bodies were dragged through the streets of Mogadishu (capital city) to show the world that this so called superpower is nothing but a bunch of cowards. These operations made the foreign occupying forces rethink their strategy and quickly withdrew in fear of losing more men.

Today the zeal of Islam is being reverberated all over the world and our courageous brothers and sisters in Somalia have asked the Muslims all over the world to support them and Allah (swt) has made it an obligation upon us to support them:

If they ask you for help or support (because of a calamity, famine, earthquake, occupation, drought etc.) in the Deen then it is your duty that you must support them… [EMQ 8:72]

The Ethiopians with full international support (from the Christian crusader regimes) and directly backed by illegitimate Israel (zionists) have violated the blood of the Muslims in Somalia. By committing such an act of terrorism the Muslims in Somalia and nearby lands have responded to the divine call of Jihad.

The obligation of supporting the Jihad all over the world (including Somalia) is Fard Ayn (an individual obligation). You can fulfil this duty financially, physically and verbally. This honourable act must be carried out according to your own capabilities because our beloved Prophet Muhammad (saw) said Strike the Mushrik with you wealth, hands and tongue. [Sunan Nisai]. Therefore no Muslim (man or woman) has an excuse of doing nothing at all.

Muhammad (saw) said There will always exist a group from my Ummah who will continue to fight for the Deen of Allah, always dominating over their enemy; it doesn’t harm them that there are those who disagree with them, until the hour comes and they are on that stance (the group will exist at all times and will always be fighting for the truth until the final hour is established) [Saheeh Muslim]

Laughable!! That doesn't even qualify as 'revisionist', it's just pure fantasy. There were no 'Islamists'. Those soldiers were killed by the same warlords (or at least those still alive), and the clans, that now oppose the ICU. The reason for Aideed's success in Mogadishu was that he managed to mobilise many hundreds, if not thousands ,of armed clansmen at very short notice, so even the "small in number" is wrong.

The purpose of that mission was to save civilian lives in Somalia, and it did.. probably many hundreds of thousands. The Mogadishu incident was, indeed, a fiasco and a mistake, but nevertheless there was no 'guise' of humanitarian relief.. the warlords used starvation as a weapon and thousands of Somalis were dying. If you want an example of 'cowardice' read up on the attack (a word which rather dignifies murder) on the Pakistani peace-keepers. Sorry, 'apostates'. And who are the 'cowards'; those who died fighting or those who dragged their dead bodies through the street?

Are 'Islamists' now so desperate they will even claim the deeds of their current enemies as their own, just because those deeds involved killing Americans fifteen years ago?

    Re: Support For Somalia

    Jameel,
I think criticism of large superpower is good, and criticism of UN failures better--of course, the failure of the UN in Somalia is a failure of Muslim and Islamist countries too. It is sad.

I presume you know this, but a number of phrases you put out there are like pages from bin Laden's text book.

Words are powerful, so I presume these were chosen carefully. They are dangerous and sad words.
