    According to the Qur'an.

Are women allowed to live by themselves when there husbands are travelling for work.
My husband is going to start travelling soon and I would be by myself at our apartment. Its a secure area along with great muslim neighbors who always look out for each other.
However, if its not permissible in Islam, then I wouldnt stay there. I heard someone say, women should always be accompanied by their spouse or brother or father and should never be alone. Is this true???

    Re: According to the Qur'an.

I'm not sure how true that is since the sahaabiyat used to stay by themselves for a period of time whilst their husbands went to fight in jihad. But then again going for jihad and going for work, are two completely different reasons. Can't you go with your husband?

maybe this fatwa would be of some help inshaAllaah
