As the trees stand with thirst
waiting for the clouds to burst,
the animals run up and down
in search of water on the land that's still brown.
Water is in short measure,
so treat it like a valuable treasure.
The land is dead
and so is our flower bed.
O Allah bring the rain
and take away our pain.
Lightning strikes and thunder rumbles,
no one dares to ever grumble.
At last, the rain falls and revives the earth
and gives us everything it's worth.
Please make dua that Allah gives us rain here. A month of Spring has already passed and we are still waiting for rain. May Allah fulfil the last 2 lines of the poem. Ameen.
