'' Snakes are the form into which some of the Jinn were transformed, just as some of the children of Israel were transformed into Monkeys and Pigs.''
Takhreej:
{ Imam Abu Shaykh in al Adhamah and its sanad is graded as Saheeh by Shaykh Al Albaani رحمه الله }
Does this mean that every snake is a transmutation of a jinn or only some of them.
Shaykh Muhammad Naasir ud Deen Al Albaani رحمه اللّه commented:
'' Know that this hadeeth does not mean that the snakes that are in existence today are from the transmuted jinn. Instead, what it means is that some jinn were transmuted into snakes, as what happened to those Jews who were transmuted into apes and swine. However, they did not procreate, as is stated in another authentic hadeeth,
Verily, Allaah did not make for any of the transmuted being procreation or posterity.' In fact, apes and swine were in existence before that."

I knew about the ayah of some Israeli's being transformed into apes and monkeys, but I didn't know about jinns being transformed into snakes.
