Say there was an event on Saturday and one on Sunday. Which one would you most likely go to?
I'm not sure, I mean if its Sunday then people are at work/uni etc the next day so might want to use it as a day to catch up on last min stuff etc or might just wanna use it as a day to relex.
But if its Sat then people might wanna use that day to go shopping or whatever it is people do on the weekends.
And as for the onewho fears standing in front of His Lord and restrainsthe soul from impure evil desires and lusts, verily, Paradise will be his abode [79:40-41]
sunday coz its the only day of the week that im free
Dear Allah. I pray that whoever reads this message shall have your comfort, joy, peace, love, & guidance. I may not know their troubles, but you do. Please keep protecting us. Ameen.
I'd rather friday straight after Jum'ah prayer. forget venues (they cost!)
We need atleast 10 brothers, 2 each standing outside a mosque (that would be 5 mosques in total - choose the ones with most population).
Selling pakoras with mint chatni (£1.00 a plate) n pans of hot chicken corn soup (£1.50 a bowl) - or something like that !
It'll sell like hot cakes n together we'll raise loads of money insha'Allaah! What do u think ?
Lol JazakAllah khayr for the responses.
Vell Piskel, I told you what I thoght of your idea over the fone yesterday buuuut...Well I guess its a good idea masha'Allah. But say out of the 50 brothers that go to pray...or maybe 80 or however many you have in City masjids....imagine only 20 of them can be bothered to wait around outside in the cold to buy pakoras.
You might aswell make it a wholly male thing and get them to do an appeal inside straight after Salah and leave us.....to play our part in a different way rather than sticking us in the kitchen (to make the pakoras and stuff), as always <_<
And at Jum'ah time, m sure much more than 50 brothers come
Lol. Maybe in masjids in bigger Cities....but where I live...It's different. but then again....I wouldnt know Hm I think I'll ask Abu that but sis....If you think about it realistically...you could do that, but....if you got em to do an appeal on the same day....I'm sure they'd raise more wallahu A'lam.
Basically, am not dissing the effort and idea....I just think men [being lazy and all] would rather go with the appeal...since they're so common in masjids anyway.
