Syria was one of the most beautiful countries in the world, so much history and knowledge there...may Allah swt preserve and protect it and its people no matter what happens.
... All within 100 years ... the Balfour declaration is the single most controversial document to have been co-signed by Britain, France the USA.
As for the prophecy of the slave girl giving birth to her mistress... that mistress is Israel. Mother and father were Britain and France, the mid wife was the USA.
Can you draw a line? And put a time marker on each end? and then fill in the events which have shaped the world to its current state? Don't do it - unless you don't mind losing sleep.
Meaning of Shirk according to The Qur'an
" Worshipping anyone or anything besides Allah " or " distributing anything exclusive to Allah, to anyone or anything else "
Meaning of Tawheed according to The Qur'an Worshipping none but Allah. Affirming whatever is exclusive to Him, Him alone.
We all are so sorry for Syria. I am as well. There is a human tragedy going on in Syria. There are 3 million Syrian refugees now in Turkey and I have so much pity for all those children and women BUT...What happens to men? Why are they running away from their country? Why don't they fight for their country?
If I am not mistaken, if a Muslim / Islamic country is attacked without no fault of their own, and they can not fight back, then the obligation to fight the intruders fall upon the Muslim neighbour lands.
Idk the situation tho. But the obligation for Jihad falls upon the neighbouring lands. But Idk much so I will leave this to a scholar.
If the neighbouring lands do not defend Shaam or any other Muslim land from intruders, then the obligation widdens upon all Muslims...... (Not sure about this one)
In defensive Jihad, one does not need a Khilafah / amir. But in offensive one has to.
@huzaifa
h ibn Adam, can you clarify?? :/

Because, while there may be pious people on earth. If none of us do anything, then the punishment for the wrongdoers will fall upon everyone, not just the wrongdoers?
Or is it that, the punishment will be upon the wrongdoers and those who do nothing?

It's awful what they are putting those people through. It's not even their fault.
I saw a bit of news this morning on a tv somewhere. The video of the poor people being bombed etc made me think of all the news clips from the Gulf War when I was little.
I'm sure I've heard in sermons that when Syria (or whatever the term is in Arabic) is dismantled, the end of time is here. I guess we are reaching that phase now.
"And fear such a Fitnah which will not afflict only the wrongdoers among you..." [Soorah al-Anfaal, 8:25]
Rasoolullaah صلى الله عليه وسلم said: "Verily, Allaah has does not punish the general public for the actions (i.e. sins) of the minority, until they (the general public) see Munkar (evil) among them, and, despite being capable of doing Inkaar of it (i.e. changing it, or opposing it, or speaking against it), they do not do Inkaar, then when that happens, Allaah punishes both the general public and the minority." [Narrated in the Musnad of Imaam Ahmad]
So what you learn from this Hadeeth is that when people abandon Nahi `anil Munkar (forbidding the evil), then they too are engulfed by the punishment of Allaah Ta`aalaa, wal-`Iyaadhu Billaah.
