Distraction
Distraction from her peaceful core,
A heart that feels completely sore.
The crack inside of her innocent eyes,
Reflects the profundity of his lies,
Invisible upon the surface of her skin,
The tear rolls off from her chin,
A mind preoccupied with upcoming dues
Saddened with his sinister past news,
So began their dark story
Losing its illuminating glory,
A young girl lost in love,
Hopeless as a one-handed glove,
Wishing for someone to hold,
A new relationship to grow old,
Found a boy as young as she,
Blue eyes, as deep as the sea,
Oh reader, unfold the rose,
That pricks the fingers of obvious repose,
All naivety was lost as she became confined,
As most of her dreams were left behind,
Wake up child, this is life,
You must stand up and win this strife,
Breathe and taste the bitterness of this world,
Forget all those who forgot you first,
Carry some pride, not depression,
Avoid arrogance-converting oppression,
No details can truly be told,
How sad this life was put on sale and sold.
Find a new chapter to captivate you,
To lead you to the gates of paradise.
