When Allah's Messenger went to the Mi'raaj [ascension above the heavens] - he was ordered for the muslim ummah to pray salaah 5 times per day, by Allah directly.

Haj, Salat, zakat, male circumcision and fasting etc. have been with us since the time of Hazrat Ibrahim A.S. which later were abandoned and/or corrupted

Salat times as found in Quraan:

1. Fajr 11:114, 24:58
2. Zuhr 17:78, 30:18
3. Asr 2:238
4. Maghrib 11:114
5. Isha 24:58
