Postrating sign in the Quran

Do you also have to prostrate when you read the interpretation and meaning of the ayah that has the protrating symbol beside it?

I remember in my Quran classes we all had to prostrate every time we read the last ayah of Surah Iqrah but I don't think it is compulsory to do so.

Actually, as per the correct view that depends on evidence, as well as the link you yourself provided sister, that the prostration is not compulsory, but "mustahabb", which means earns a reward for doing, but not a sin if neglected.
