I am suffering an identity crisis, and I don't know why I am Muslim, what the purpose of life is, and why things happen the way they do....what should I do?
Read the Qur'an more often. It answers all the questions you may have about who you are, why you are here, etc. Try to read it every day. The words in the Qur'an are supernatural words, so they'll have a supernatural effect on you.
First thing is...don't listen to the MEDIA,dont listen to lies that are within in the internet,i actually kind of believed in these "lies" that's UNTIL I did research, but after researching I understood everything, basically recite the quran and understand it,just like Brother Drac suggested, its the main proof of Allah, the WORD of allah, and basically we were created to worship allah, and to be tested.

it is natural that when a thing leave its basis , have no value . every thing have value when it follow its basis/rules . we are muslim (masha Allah ) we also have our basis which (Quran o Sunnah ) when we leave study of our basis then we have no value and we will be confused and turn from right to wrong . we we should study deeply Quran ,Ahadees and stories of sahabah on daily basis . by this way ,our iman in sha Allah will be rises ...jazakAlah
