Just when you thought the Iranian leadership could stoop no further: MEMRI (Middle East Media Research Institute) reported that a top advisor to Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad claimed in an interview with Iranian website Baztab that Nazi leader Adolf Hitler's parents were both Jewish and that Hitler himself was one of the founders of the State of Israel.

In the interview, translated by MEMRI, Mohammad-Ali Ramin, a chief aide to Ahmadinejad, told Baztab that Hitler's paternal grandmother was a Jewish prostitute and his father even kept his Jewish name until finally changing it to Hitler when he was 40.



Ramin also claimed that the reason Hitler developed such an aversion to Judaism was because his Jewish mother was a promiscuous woman. Hitler therefore, says Ramin, tried to escape his religion.


Ramin cites a 1974 book by Hennecke Kardel titled 'Adolf Hitler: Founder of Israel', which alleges that Hitler strived to create a Jewish state as a result of being influenced by his Jewish relatives and his cooperation with Britain – which also wanted to drive the Jews out of Europe.


Ramin claims in the interview that Hitler both identified with his Judaism and was disgusted by it. It is these ambivalent feelings, said Ramin, that formed the basis for his treatment of Jews.



According to Ramin on the one hand Hitler's relatives and the friends who brought him to power, as well as his mistresses and personal physician, were all Jewish.



On the other hand he welcomed the expulsion of ambitious and influential Jews from Europe to the British Mandate of Palestine.

I recall this as being part of a propaganda campaign during the latter part of WW2 to diminish Hitler's power and credibility in Germany. I remember there was even a biography of him authered in the USA and secretly distributed into Germany allegedly about Hitler's family and that his real family name was Schekelgrubber.

I think a lot of Hitlers family history has now been lost under the mountains of propaganda that was being used to discredit history and it takes a German Historian with access to all German and Austrian Public records for the past 200 years to be able to reconstruct who or what Hitler really was.

Ironicaly I did have a Jewish friend in the last days of WW2 who personaly knew Hitler. He had visited Hitler several times. Oddly, although Hitler ruthlessly persecuted the Jews he kept contact with some Jews and they were semi-safe from extermination. But, he was a madman and nobody ever knew when and who his anger would lash out at. My former friend and his family escaped from Germany in about 1940 and ended up in the US in about 1950 when I met the 5 year old son who became a school mate and child hood friend. His family had tons of photographs of Hitler and the various family members. I remember they eventually burned all of the photographs and destroyed anything Nazi connected that they had brought with them.

The claim that Hitler was a "Jew" is a backhanded antisemitic strike at Jews--then and now.
He may have had some Jewish roots--many Germans did. But his ideology came not from religion (Christian or Jewish), but from utility and power.

I didn't see the movie "Idiocracy" but "The Great Dictator" was funny. It was an outstanding satire on Hitler and the Nazi party. They took full advantage of Chaplin's resemblance to Hitler, because of Chaplin's well known mustache.

Jews is a race,like Arabs is a race.

Jews are associated with Judaism and thus thus by proxy referred to Jews.
Arabs are associated to Islam and thus by proxy all Arabs are Muslims.
