Hello, my name is Nick, I am 21, and am currently in college in Wisconsin. I enjoy life, and have a lot of things going for me. One thing that I am confused about however is my religion. I was raised christian, but have been falling away from it in the past few years. I joined a christian forum to see if I could find a way to "connect" again, but that hasn't been working too well.
One thing that I did notice from the forums is how negativly Islam is viewed by many, and that really struck a chord with me. I do not think that Islam is any more violent or radical than other major religions out there, but some of those on this board seem to think differently.
I'll be honest: At this point in time I am not looking to convert to any religion, Islam included. I am mostly interested in hearing more about what you guys have to say about the religion of Islam, instead of getting a less-informed source talking about it.
Hey Nick. Welcome to LI.
I hope you find what your looking forward and be able to connect with whatever it is you need to connect with

*Without Allah, without Islam, life would be meaningless. If I've ever learned patience, it's because of this. Alhamdulillah...*

O Allah Wash away my sins with the water of snow and hail, and cleanse my heart from sin as a white garment is cleansed from filth, and put a great distance between me and my sins, as great as the distance You have made between the East and the West.”
Welcome Nick. Please feel free to ask questions and look through the various sections. Learning about religion is one of the most important studies any of us will ever do.
