    in the name of Allah,
here are some islamic poems i will outline here
    Islamic Poetry

Love of the world, by Maalik

It is the right of those supposed to be free that we
but our nose and propose what could lead to be
a change of clothes for clones show them what they need to see
but instead we chose to impose the status quo for peace
and the way they treat us shows they know that we in retreat
this revival goes to show we wont accept defeat
and God only knows how we'll snatch victory
but its already been foretold, a matter been decreed
so all thats left to know, is that do you believe?
are you ready to bleed to achieve, the ability to breathe
can you concieve can you see, what we need to be free
this piece of greed in me, reflects all that we
are taught from infancy, be the richest you can be
and thats the reason given why we should seek
knowledge cuz its the key, to ease and currency
and the fallacy of this theory's no mystery
I swear sometimes its like these people are asleep
zombies or like sheep, tell me what money will you keep
when your buried six feet deep?

    Islamic Poetry

A Friend's Advice, by Al Hajj sh. Sayed Abdul-Hadi

Have you ever questioned why you’re here on the planet earth.. and if all your words and all your deeds have any value or enduring worth? Your birth, your life and your resurrection are but as an individual soul.. and while you may have harnessed Mother nature, it’s not within your power to prevent growing old.

You haven’t been placed here just for fun.. to do what ever you please. This life is full of strife for everyone and just sparingly sprinkled with comfort and ease.. The basic task you have before you is to submit yourself to Him. Who Created the universe entire and everything within. When once you do, I’m sure that you will find as others have, there’s ample light inside yourself to guide you on the path.

Your mother cried a tear when you appeared and said a heartfelt prayer.. ‘Dear God, please let this child of mine know how much I really care.’ She was there when you took your first steps on your own, and it’s largely due to her efforts that you have any concept of home. She sacrificed for you throughout your entire live and gave you good advice. She said, “if you walk to God He’ll run to you. If you’ll take one step He’ll take two. Don’t let nothing or no one hinder your way. If it’s stormy right now, tomorrow there’ll be a brighter day. Take this advice I give you here for I have your interest at heart. When you get older it’ll be clear, for we all from here must part. No one stays here forever it’s not the place to be. It’s only temporary anyway. It’s not eternity.

But still you must live your life as if each day is your last. You can’t project the future and you can’t extend the past. That which is for you will not pass you by, you can’t affect what’s not to be, no matter how hard you try. Always keep good stock of yourself by looking deep within. Arm yourself with righteousness, and guard yourself from sin.

Sometimes it’s ruff, I must admit this stuff is tuff enough. But there’s much comfort when you submit and call the devils bluff. Each step you take make sure it’s straight, don’t falter left or right. Just remember that your strength comes from Gods’ Unrelenting Might. He’s fully Able and Capable if you’ll take Him as your Friend. You’ll find He’s available both day and night as a True Protecting Patron.

Success right here you’ll find, if you follow Laws Divine, and no ones flimsy philosophical whims could then confuse your mind. Just make your motive right and your efforts most sincere. The help of God is never far off.. in fact it’s always near.”

    Islamic Poetry

Peace & Justice, by Sara Khaliq

Peace is word far from my dictionary
Never having seen it might be why
To me peace means a loving family
    Which I don?t know of
Not having enough food and a house might be why.

It doesn?t bother me any more
My brothers, sister and parents being dead,
    My house being torn down,
And my country, Iraq being shredded.

Along with peace, justice is some thing, which is not known to me
Watching the killing of innocent people does not surprise me
It does not bring tears to my eyes
    Although it kills me inside.

I didn?t care if people went to war
I didn?t see why people committed suicide in Palestine
I didn?t see why they fled Kashmir
I didn?t care because of our differences
But now I realize their conditions.

    They fought to achieve PEACE
    They fought to achieve JUSTICE
    And now, so do I.

Isn't the woman there my sister, by Mahasin Shamsiddeen

Isn't the woman there my sister?
in Islam, I mean to say
For I just took my shahadah
    at the masjid here today

Isn't the woman there my sister?
I openly ask without any qualms
The one who just walked past me
    Without offering me her salaams

Isn't the woman there my sister?
Though she stands alone to pray
Each time I move to touch her shoulder
She takes a step and pulls away

Isn't the woman there my sister?
the lady that is not of my race,
for both of us are muslim women
with varied hues making up our face

Isn't the woman there my sister?
Who laughed and made fun of me
And those other sisters of mine who listened
Doesn't their silence make them also guilty

Isn't the woman there my sister?
Who didn't call me when I was sick
For she seems to only show concern
for those special sisters, in her own click

Isn't the woman there my sister?
Who I invited for iftar in my home
But unfortunately she did not make it
How I wish she had bothered to phone

Isn't the woman there my sister?
Don't we both love our religion - this Deen?
Then why am I sharing my lament
About her being uncaring, indifferent and mean?

Isn't the woman there my sister?
Won't she open up and try to treasure
The love I want and need to share with her
As we both seek Allah's Merciful Pleasure

    Islamic Poetry

Oh! How I wish! by Bint Abdullah

Oh! How I wish I could have seen,
the Greatest Hero there has ever been.
As his sword with bravery did gleam,
as he did fight the Kuffar and Mushrikeen.

Oh! How I wish my ears could hear,
The Greatest Teacher to ever appear.
As he sat with his Companions so dear,
Beautifully preaching, with love and fear.

Oh! How I wish my Heart to emulate,
The greatest Mercy that ALLAH did ever create.
As he did demolish vice and hate,
    As his kindness did reverberate.

Oh! How I wish my Character to be,
Like The Purest of mankind undoubtedly.
As he who played with children lovingly,
As he who was rarely seen unsmilingly.

Oh! How I wish for such determination,
    As Him-the Greatest Illumination,
The truth he conveyed to the entire nation,
As he guided them with his motivation

    Never could the sun outshine
    This Beautiful Nabi of mine.
Oh! How I wish to be like HE
Noble Prophet MOHAMMED,upon Him May peace Be.

    Islamic Poetry

    The Muhajibah, by Atiya Hasan

    Don’t Hate On Me
Cuz I’m Muslim To The Eye That Sees
    Don’t Hate On Me
    Cuz Modesty Covers Me
You Look At Me And You Think I’m Oppressed
What You Don’t Know Is This Is The Way I Choose To Dress
I wont Advertise Myself Like You Make Your Women Do
    I Play By The Rules
Cover Myself From The Critical Eyes Of You.
Don’t Define Me By The Hijaab I Wear
Go On Living That Life You Dare
My Words Hold More Weight That Your Women’s Actions Do
    I Am The Muslimah
    Pride Of My Ummah
    Through My Modesty I Prevail
Got A Better Hold On Life Than Could Any Male
    Want This?
    Cant Touch This.
    Try Ya Best
    Watch Ya Miss
    Don’t Hate On Me
Cuz No Matter How Much You Undermine
    And Call It A Crime
I Wear My Veil Without A Frown On This Face Of Mine

    Love is a dove
    and war is poor
    so let’s leave the nonsense
    outside the door

Keep fighting for what is yours
    And bear Allah in mind,
For if you place your trust in him
It is success that you shall find!

...I wonder at the one who extends his right hand
To his beloved at the time of seperation and he hastens therein!
I felt weak and incapable of saying farewell when I saw him
So my heart shook his hand whilst my eye wept....
