Opinion about something God said would be in heaven

    Report bad ads?

InshaAlah I will go to heaven

In the Quran God says that in heaven people will have "
    companions" basically..women

For me I would want to have the person I married and loved my whole life with me(i'm not married but still, thats how i feel). I don't need 2...20..30 or more virgins whom are "perfect"...I would want the woman I married while on earth.

Re: Opinion about something God said would be in heaven

    Assalaamu 'alaykum

    Praise be to Allaah.

When a believer enters Paradise, if his wife was righteous then she will be his wife in Paradise too. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “‘And (Eden) Paradise (everlasting Gardens), which they shall enter and (also) those who acted righteously from among their fathers, and their wives, and their offspring. And angels shall enter unto them from every gate…” [al-Ra’d 13:23]. Imaam Ibn Jareer al-Tabari said in Jaami’ al-Bayaan ‘an Ta’weel Aayi’l-Qur’aan (16/423): “[In the phrase] those who acted righteously from among their fathers, and their wives, and their offspring, Allaah, may He be glorified, is saying that there will be admitted to Paradise those who He describes as those who (interpretations of the meanings) fulfil the Covenant of Allaah, those who join that which Allaah has commanded to be joined [i.e., upholding the ties of kinship] and fear their Lord, and who remain patient, seeking their Lord’s Countenance, [and] perform al-Salaah – those who do the deeds mentioned in the three preceding aayaat. Those who acted righteously from among their fathers, and their wives, and their offspring refers to their wives, their families and their offspring, and their ‘righteousness’ is their faith in Allaah and their obedience to His commands and the commands of His Messenger (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him).”

They will be with their spouses, reclining in the shade of Paradise, filled with the deepest joy. Allaah says (interpretation of the meanings):

“They and their wives will be in pleasant shade, reclining on thrones.” [Yaa-Seen 36:56]

“Enter Paradise, you and your wives, in happiness.” [al-Zukhruf 43:70]

Among the bountiful and abundant blessings that Allaah bestows upon His creation is that if the believers’ offspring follow them in faith, they will be joined with their fathers in the same level of Paradise even if they themselves did not reach that level, so that their fathers may have the joy of seeing their offspring. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “And those who believe and whose offspring follow them in Faith, - to them shall We join their offspring, and We shall not decrease the reward of their deeds in anything…” [al-Toor 52:21]

    And Allaah knows best.

Re: Opinion about something God said would be in heaven

So you know how it is said that in heaven you will not feel miserable, sad, gloomy, etc, that you will be in a state of eternal bliss...

    So in the above post

basically this verse states that you will be joined with your loved ones if they too are righteous, but after looking at this more closely you start to think,.. hmm what if a person I loved in this world does not make it heaven, (god forbid) but just for the sake of argument assume that, that person does not make it....

Now your in heaven and your wondering where this person is and if that person has not made it then aren't you naturally going to feel sad, miserable, gloomy that, that person is not there with you in paradise??

now see, this is where my imagination kicks in.. (not based on any evidence) I think in heaven people would exist simultaneously in heaven and hell, but a persons life would only be so, from one persons perspective. Its really hard to fathom this, but if you think about it hard enough it might make sense to you....

that we all exist in a parallall universe with each person's experience completely irrespective of the other person. and this would solve the issue of not having to see your loved one in heaven

Re: Opinion about something God said would be in heaven

We don't know what jannah is like the etymology of the word literally means 'that which is hidden from sight like 'jinn' or 'jinoon' each of those words is rooted in the same .. We're only told about the things that we love in this world because that's all we know and can relate too .. Be that as it may one should think about the concept of 'eternity' you're not the same person you were ten years ago we change we like new things so how do we expect sameness in paradise? We shouldn't measure jannah with our human understanding of bliss .. But trust in the divine promise ...

    o.O

Firstly, there will be no grief, no sorrow in Jannah. You'll be so occupied with the pleasures that you won't even get a fraction of a second to ponder over anything sad. The simultaneous existence theory - put it on fire today itself. Every person will either be in heaven or hell.

well it still doesn't answer the question that if your loved ones don't make it how do you compensate for them not being there, wouldn't it naturally make one sad..??

I guess what will happen in heaven and hell is beyond our comprehension, something that we will only know once we are there..

Anas (RadhiAllahu Anhu) said that a man came to the Prophet (SallAllahuAlayhiWaSallam) and asked, “When will the Last Hour come, Messenger of Allah?” He responded, “What have you prepared for it?” He replied, “I have not prepared a lot of prayer or fasting or charity for it, but I love Allah and His Messenger.” The Prophet said, “You will be with the one you love.”

Thus, it is highly important that we invest our love in proper places.

As wonderful as this sounds, can you not see this type of mentality causing problems in our lives?

One person even if he is a firm believe could just go about committing sin but knowing that in the end he will end up in jannah ? (after having served his time in hell) I mean, if you really think about it, you cannot compare a 1000 years or 10000 years to eternity, which is what is promised when you land in heaven, "an eternity of bliss" etc etc.

so you see where I'm going with this? It would be very easy to "cheat" essentially in this life since you are a firm believer but continue to engage in haram acts knowing that one day you will go to have because you had an ounce of faith...

I know what I said sounds contradictory but I'll use my self as an example to illustrate it better.. Before I joined this board I was still a believer, however, I did not pray as much and I was involved in various haram acts... while committing some of those acts, I knew it was wrong but continued to do so for the immediate illusion of satisfaction and pleasure..

The term for you then would have be fasiq under the umbrella of Islam, however that being said, the doors of repentance are ever open. I wouldn't recommend dying on your prior state & certainly without asking for forgiveness and I wouldn't take God's mercy for granted. It is really not a small thing to be in hells' fire even for a brief while.. It is like I can take being skinned alive for ten minutes so long as I can have an all expenses paid vacation on Monday..

Being a believer in and of itself has certain requirements so when I say it is the divine promise that All Muslims shall go to paradise, it's a given that though they may have erred that they're indeed believers.. How many people do you know are Muslims in name only? There are things that separate a Muslim from a kaffir, that being prayers/Salaat.. The virtue of Salaat is that enjoins what is good and prohibits evil.. Can you really make your juma'a prayer and then decide to rob the corner store for cash? or fast the holy month and break your fast in a strip club over liquor? Somethings by their nature don't go well together..

    and Allah swt knows best,

You know there are many people who are born Muslim but throughout their lives commit shirk openly without even realizing it and when someone tells them that this is wrong, they oppose that person and consider them to be an outsider and opposition. The Ahadeeth say that those believe in the oneness of Allah will be eventually saved but that is not the case of every Muslim. Some Muslims though they have proclaimed the tauheed but yet knowingly/unknowlingly keep committing shirk. So such Muslims might not achieve salvation ever either just like zaalimoon and mushrikeen. Belief from the heart is required not just lip service.
