We are told to rely on Allah for everything, big and small.
Not only is it a testament that only Allah is the doer of everything but
also of our submission and devotion.

use this thread to come up with 101 Dua ideas that one can make in different situations..they can be from Hadith or not.

in the name of Allah...GO!

First post! :D

1. One of my favourite duas from the Qur'an

رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِىْ الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِىْ الآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَّقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ
Rabbana atina fid-dunya hasanatan wa fil 'akhirati hasanatan waqina 'adhaban-nar
"Our Lord! Give us in this world [that which is] good and in the Hereafter [that which is] good and protect us from the punishment of the Fire." (Al Baqarah:201)

2-

there is one dua that I make
not from Quran or Hadith, but a personal one

Please Allah forgive me and everyone I know of , of our sins and let us enter jannah without reckoning. Indeed, none can enter jannah without your mercy and you are the most gracious, the most merciful

Personal one

"Oh Allah forgive my minor and major sins, purify my heart, replenish my imaan and grant me Jannah tul firdaus."

4. "O my Lord! Open for me my chest (grant me self-confidence, contentment, and boldness)."And ease my task for me;
"And make loose the knot (the defect) from my tongue, (i.e. remove the incorrectness from my speech)
"That they understand my speech,”
Al-Qur'an, 20.025-28 (Ta Ha [Ta Ha])

I used this dua, by reciting it endlessly throughout the day for months when I was in school.
it changed my life.

To genuinely feel remorse in your heart and mind for the sins you've committed.
This is coupled with refraining from sins within your control due to the realization that Allah is watching you.

If we genuinely acknowledge our shortcomings to Allah and work to please Him, it is guaranteed that He will fulfill all of our lawful needs.

Remember me, and I'll remember you (Quran 2: part of verse 152)

yayy, you started the thread brother! This one will be a breeze inshaAllah. :sunny:

5. Rabbi zidni 'ilma (Oh my Lord, grant me knowledge) repeated numerously during my school days
6. Allahumma ajirni min an-naar (Oh Allah, save me from hell-fire) I read 3x after fardh salah
7. Allahumma ad khlini fee jannat ul-firdaus. (Oh Allah, enter me into jannat ul-firdaus) I read 3x after fardh salah
8. Surah Al-Fatiha (yup, it's a dua!!)
9. Allahumma inni au'dhubika min-al hammi wal-hazn, wal-ajzi, wal-kasl, wal-bukli, wal-jubn, wa ghalabati-dayni, wa qahri-rijaal (Oh Allah, I seek refuge in you from worry and grief, in hopelessness, and laziness, from miserliness, and cowardice, from over whelming doubt and the force of men.

Sayyidul Istighfar - Chief of Dua for forgiveness

(O Allah! You are my Lord! None has the right to be worshipped but You. You created me and I am Your slave, and I am faithful to my covenant and my promise as much as I can. I seek refuge with You from all the evil I have done. I acknowledge before You all the blessings You have bestowed upon me, and I confess to You all my sins. So I entreat You to forgive my sins, for nobody can forgive sins except You.)

Personal dua from a nasheed

O Allah May Give me a sincere repentance that would wipe my sins and bad deeds.

Ending the worries of my Heart and its dullness.

I ِask you in the darkness of night with my eyes pouring river of tears.
You are the hope and aid, O lord you are the answerer.

Who will benefit me when the sand is placed over me, living then will have no taste
While My grave will be dark, weeping will not revive whats done.

Feeling the the wilderness and agony, oh its the oddness of a stranger.
I cant see salvation either from the East or the South...

Dua 19.
Sahih Bukhari
Narrated Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas: The Prophet used to teach us these words as he used to teach us the Book (Qur'an): "O Allah! seek refuge with You from miserliness, and seek refuge with You from cowardice, and seek refuge with You from being brought back to (senile) geriatric old age, and seek refuge with You from the affliction of the world and from the punishment in the Hereafter."
