The Shari'a is based on Qur'an and Sunnah, and the way of the companions of Allaah's Messenger (sal Allaahu alaihi wa-Salam) 2. Why do some Muslim countries discourage knowledge and technology? I really don't know.. we know that when people stuck to the Qur'an and Sunnah, they advanced in many fields of knowledge and technology.
