I know it seems frustrating. However, in todays world 50 is the bare minumum that can even hope to weed out some of the trolls that have learned how to use automated posting programs. A person with bad intentions can easily do 25 posts before a mod catches what is going on. 50 is probably too low to weed some out, but more would be a hindrance on too many well intentioned people.

One forum I am no longer active on has raised it to 1000.

It is difficult to settle on a fair amount for full membership, however, over 12,000 people here have had no problem with 50.

Its a good experience...practice..... gradual improvement... I think 50 posts is acceptable..... yes i took time to hit the 50 mark...I didnt find the restrictions hard...

I don't think its that much, and it is very important anyway as it helps to keep out the trolls who only join to spam the forum and keep in the loyal people. If you are serious about joining LI, you haven't got anything to worry about...

I agree with you. 50 is low considering the things that are happening. I know i shouldnt be talking as i'm still waaay under!:hiding: But still, i wouldnt like to have this place filled with trash so i have to take it. It took me a while to get to the 50 though and now my goal is 100!
