Dear brothers and sisters,
Allah gave upon us the holy Quran as guidance in this world, but Allah also gave us the ability to distinguish right from wrong. Even if you have not read a single word from the holy Quran you will still know deep down if your actions are right or wrong.
We all know that this life will not pass us without a test and trial. We know that there will not be a single soul upon this earth which Allah will not test. We beleive that the trials we face in our ordinary lives are the ultimate test, but this is only a small fraction of our duty as muslims. Today our generation faces the most difficult and severe trial since the days of the Prophet.
Allah has given some of us power, wealth and great prosperity and has bestowed great suffering, hunger and poverty upon some of our brothers and sisters. The dawn of this day is the greatest test Allah has given us.
We sit in our warm homes from the east to the west and watch how the weakest in the ummah are treated. We claim that we cannot do anything and we pray to Allah to resolve our tribulations as we enjoy what has been given to us in this world. We, the millions of muslims around the world watch in our hipocrisy and silence as the weakest and poorest of us defend the pride and honor of islam. We sit in arrogant denial and silence as they get murdered and starved to death by the thousands. If we do not act now and remain silent, than you know Allah will remain silent when we need salvation the most. Each and everyone of us has some shread of ability to end the suffering of our people yet we ignore them.
Should the weak and impoverished stand alone to defend the sacred mosque while the powerful stand aside ? If we are silent now we approve of their suffering, we feed it, we let it go on and on as our forefathers did in their time.
Do you think our time will not come if we remain silent now ? There is no excuse today, no ignorance can be claimed when te truth is open for us to see. Will we lie to Allah when the time comes, that our eyes have not seen the suffering, that our ears have not heard the cries for help when we ourselves have closed our eyes and ears and have chosen to remain in ignorance.
Most say that it is our leaders that refuse to do or cannot do anything, but this is a lie. Our leaders are few and we are many.
We must show to the world the truth, the brotherhood of islam and set aside our differences. Allah has made us all different, it is our duty to find solidarity and unity. If today we ignore the butchery and genocide of our people, tomorrow we will ignore the destruction of the holy mosque. And what else will we ignore ?
Allah has given us a great trial, we must accept it with honor before it is too late. Because we all know that the wrath of man is but a drop in the sea compared to the wrath of Allah.
We must show our unity to this world, in this life, a great responsibility has been given to us alive today.
We must show that we are not complicit to the genocide of our brothers.
This is our greatest struggle for which we must walk from the ends of the world if we need to.
It is within us that Allah has placed the honor, dignity and power to arise victorious from this struggle. We must act, before it is late.
