A day that’s worth a lifetime (يوم العُمر)

It’s a moment in a lifetime.

· The man who removed the thorn from the path in order for others to not be harmed doesn’t know that was the greatest day in his life which Allah (ﷻ) forgave his sins because of it, subhan Allah.

· And the prostitute who didn’t expect the happiest day in her life is the day when she quenched the thirst of the dog and Allah (ﷻ) thanked her for her act and forgave her.

· The happiest day for Yusuf (as) is the day when he overcame the invitation of the wife of the aziz and said (معاذ الله) (Refuge is with Allah), so he was elevated and became near, and is (إنه من عبادنا المخلَصين) (Surely, he was one of Our chosen, (guided) slaves.)

· And for those who witnessed the Battle of Badr ,it was said to them: (اعملوا ما شئتم فقد غفرت لكم) (Do whatever you wish for I have forgiven you.) – Sunan Abi Dawud 4654, Authenticated by Al Albani as Hasan Sahih

· And when Talhah (ra) squatted under the Prophet (ﷺ) in order to lift him up on a boulder. The Prophet (ﷺ) said to him: (أوجَبَ طلحة) (It (Paradise) is obligatory for Talhah) – At Tirmidhi Book 49, Hadith 4103

· A deed is written for a slave which will bring him eternal happiness. Allah (ﷻ) prepares it for him in this life, and decrees the means for him in order to do this deed. When Allah (ﷻ) looks at the heart of the slave, He sees this heart has value because of the faith it has. So the person will act and do a deed which becomes the highlight of his life and it will be shown to him in his book of records on the Day of Judgment.

O beloved ones, when is your day? Has it already come or not?

· Imagine: it could be a tear which you shed in secret, or turning away from a strong desire that’s tempting you, or bringing happiness to a Muslim, or an ayah from the Quran which you read or teach, or wiping the head of an orphan, or kissing the hand of your mother, or smiling in the face of a Muslim, or saying a word of truth, or helping someone in need, or supporting someone oppressed, or suppressing your anger, or removing harm, or concealing a person’s fault, or feeding someone hungry. You don’t know from where this moment of happiness will come in this lifetime.

We are all poor to Allah (ﷻ) and His mercy. May Allah (ﷻ) open deeds for us which will bring us closer to His love and paradise. Ameen.
