Logically speaking, it makes all the sense. As we know whatever we do is beneficial for us in one way or the other in Islam. If you think about it, when you say "bismillah" before eating, that it might change the structure in even better structure maybe containing more benefits for the body and also prevent sheytan eating with you as it then might harm him instead. While if you not say such a thing, that it would NOT benefit you more and sheytan be able to eat with you. As everything has been created by Allah(swt) and logically speaking should have react based on something you say or do.

If somebody does you a favor, that individual would NOT benefit, rather you will only benefit from it. So If allah(swt) has given us a favor, then everything within it, is beneficial for us. Right?

Personally, I accept that grading given by Maulana Haroon Abasoomar, as, in South Africa, he is regarded as one of the `Ulamaa who are most knowledgeable in the field of Jarh wat-Ta`deel (The Science of Discrediting and Endorsement, also called "The Science of Narrator Criticism"). However, another famous Aalim from SA disagrees with his view and actually wrote two books refuting this view, and that is Maulana A.S. Desai (Mujlisul Ulama of South Africa), and those books can be downloaded from here:

You can read that just to get another Aalim's perspective on the issue. But again, personally, the view that I agree with in this regard is that of Maulana Haroon Abasoomar, because Jarh wat-Ta`deel (The Science of Discrediting and Endorsement) is his speciality, as is `Ilm ar-Rijaal (The Science of Biographical Evaluation).
