Assalamu--alaikum,

Dear sisters,

Please share your experience on being the second wife?

I have been proposed by a married man to be his second wife. I have refused yet he keeps insisting on it. My family agrees to this, but i don't want to. It is beneficial to my family if I marry him, it will mean the world to my mother.
I don't know what to do, i'm confused. I don't want to share my husband this was the reason i said no. I dont think i can deal with jealousy, the emotional side to sharing. I want to be the only women to be in my husbands heart the only one he thinks about.

I would be utterly grateful if sisters could share their experiences who are being a second wife or have been.

There is no need for you to be asking for advice, you've already given the answer to your problem. You refused and you said you don't want to. Your concerns are valid, chances are there will be jealously and emotional troubles. If you go into something like this you will probably end up regretting it soon after. You shouldn't marry someone you don't want to marry, it's that simple.
