CNN just reported that the Iranian president will come to the UN on September 19, the same day G. Bush will be in Sweden?? He wanted to debate with Bush, but will instead do some diplomatic work in the UN.

Any thoughts?

I heard that the Supreme Leader of Iran is coming to Washington... are you sure it's Ahmadinejad??

I hope Ahmadinejad gets a chance to talk to the people here... i love listening to him, he's a great man and a great speaker.

Also, The Supreme Leader is also coming from what i heard, and will be having a big dinner in Washington. We will see...

I don't know but Mohammad Khatami will be in Boston at Harvard on September 10th which is causing quite the stir.

I heard there were alot of protesting at Harvard. Mostly Jewish students.

And the Boston Police who refuse to protect him. Also the Governer refused to offer protection. It was all you could hear about on talk radio this morning.

What biggots!

governer Romney said he was a terrorist.

To be honest I don't know enough about the man to form an opinion, though I do think if Harvard invited him then they should front the cost of protecting him if it's going to be that hefty of a price. Why should all of the taxpayers bear this burden when we didn't even have a say in whether he is invited or not.

And I mean that for anyone...if it were Putin I'd say the same thing. But that's just me.

if the US gave him a passport to talk then we should provide some protection... he might be a bad man but still...

Since the U.S. State Department allowed the visitation, it goes without saying that he should be protected. Regardless what current political relations are with a visiting head of state, it is a matter of principle that the visiting leader should have U.S. protection.

Time have changed. It seems like Americans like to be hostile more than ever.
