I read the comment section on lightning, the first link. The top comment about nationalism in Islam.

I found this hadith, and it is sahih

Jubayr ibn Mut’im reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “He is not one of us who calls to tribalism. He is not one of us who fights for the sake of tribalism. He is not one of us who dies following the way of tribalism.”

Grade:Sahih(authentic) according to Al-Suyuti

Nowsday instead of calling themselves Muslims, alot of people started calling themselves with love of their national. Pakistani, sindhi, balochi, indian, Arab, etc etc.

No wonder. the Ummah divided. Even some muslims oppose against other muslims from different lands. May Allah help us....

My homeland, Pakistan is being obsessed with their nation these days. I just see too many people saying "Proud to be Pakistani!" "Pakistan Zindabad!". But I would rather call myself Muslim only.
